Steven Ridley’s 2018 NFL Mock Draft

With the thirtieth pick in the 2018 Steven Ridley NFL Mock Draft, the Minnesota Vikings select:

Will Hernandez; Offensive Lineman from the University of Texas, El Paso.

Initially, upon making this Mock Draft of mine, I had initially slotted Will to be a top 20 pick; namely with the Dallas Cowboys. Hernandez, Frederick and Martin comforting the NFC’s best would be a more smoothing feeling for those among in the Cowboys nation. However, the issue with picking Hernandez that high is the fact that, after Calvin Ridley, the drop off is unusually strong in terms of talent. Furthermore, teams who are desperate in Round two for receiving help will happily take the likes of whomever is left from there. That being said and, Dak needing a trusty, reliable target more than ever, Ridley was the selection.

Regarding what Minnesota receives in Hernandez, it is quite simple; brute force. The NFC North is home to arguably some of the games best defensive lines. Furthermore, acquiring the likes of Kirk Cousins means this pick is more essential. Add the fact that Dalvin Cook will be coming back from injury and Will Hernandez will make the Minnesota Vikings one of the NFL’s top teams as a line consisting of newly acquired Rley Rieff, Nick Easton, Pat Elflein, Will himself, and Mike Remmers will be more than enough of a match for not just the division’s defensive front seven’s but the conferences no less.

A Canadian loving gamer and analytical American Football fan; Steven has turned to the Black 'n Gold since the days of seeing Troy Amuna Polamalu way back in 2008. strength in the world means very little if your accuracy is not very good. Knowing this however is why Josh Allen is the number one pick as Dorsey is using 2018 as a redshirt year for Allen to learn the do’s and do not’s of the NFL. Once 2019 is here is where Dorsey and the Browns will hopefully see the fruition of a year’s worth of experience.

IF – AND IT’S A BIG “IF” – Mason Rudolph has a big day versus Baltimore the Steelers may have found theit franchise QB and it isn’t KP8. Mason’s been a hard luck guy since he was deafted and Ben was “insulted.” Ben is no rocket scientist but his physical gifts, history and hope combined to make Rudolph an afterthought for years.. Staing ready to play plus maturity may have combined to make MASON THE successor to Ben the Steelers truly need. If so, it settles a big question for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
