Steven Ridley’s 2018 NFL Mock Draft

With the twenty-ninth overall pick in the 2018 Steven Ridley NFL Mock Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars select:

Connor Williams; Offensive Tackle from the University of Texas.

Not too long ago, many viewed Connor Williams as the consensus top offensive tackle prospect in the class. Now, He is either the third to fifith best one depending on where you look. Regardless of how you look at it, for the fourth consecutive season in a row, the Jaguars nab a steal in the first round. Sure, can Connor play Left Tackle? Yes he can. Will he need to develop some strength however? Most definitely. His core strength being his main drawback. Thankfully for him though, he has plenty of time as he is only 21 years of age. If anything, Jacksonville, like Baltimore and Seattle before them, are in a position where they can be award with two young but promising top shelf bookend tackles in both Cam Robinson and Connor Williams. With the likes of Cam Robinson, Andrew Norwell, Brandon Linder, A.J. Cann and Connor Williams, both Leonard Fournette and Blake Bortles will be smiling even more from ear to ear as they attempt to placate their flag among the NFL Summit once more after coming up just short.

strength in the world means very little if your accuracy is not very good. Knowing this however is why Josh Allen is the number one pick as Dorsey is using 2018 as a redshirt year for Allen to learn the do’s and do not’s of the NFL. Once 2019 is here is where Dorsey and the Browns will hopefully see the fruition of a year’s worth of experience.

IF – AND IT’S A BIG “IF” – Mason Rudolph has a big day versus Baltimore the Steelers may have found theit franchise QB and it isn’t KP8. Mason’s been a hard luck guy since he was deafted and Ben was “insulted.” Ben is no rocket scientist but his physical gifts, history and hope combined to make Rudolph an afterthought for years.. Staing ready to play plus maturity may have combined to make MASON THE successor to Ben the Steelers truly need. If so, it settles a big question for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
