I can see it as a way to maybe cover up pain. My Cousin played a lot of Hockey (Junior A) and he said he started Dippin to take the edge off the pain of taking hits and fighting. A lot of his teammates did too.

I'm not thrilled people are smokin pot on our team, but as long as it isn't affecting their practice and game prep I guess I can let it slide.

A lot of people dismiss it, but I'll say again... Mike Adams got caught with pot on this biggest job interview of his life and now he is obviously struggling, it just makes you wonder.

    This is a win-win.

Hopefully this is a step toward legalization for players and Clark gets cut since he keeps speaking out and playing worse (See: Mendenhall).

I was just saying the other day that I wonder if any Steelers voted to legalize pot for players.

I'd rather they didn't. Honestly, I don't see how making it legal improves the NFL product.

The truth that he speaks really doesn't bother me.

Now, should he be talking about it? That's a different story. He probably is violating a code. Then again, maybe he is just trying to fast track a topic for the betterment of everyone. I don't think its a bad argument to say marijuana is a better alternative than prescription pills for dealing with pain. But I sure wouldn't want to be the guy who is pointing fingers at others in the locker room about the subject.

I don't see how they can make it legal since it's still prohibited on a federal level and if the justice dpt wanted to they could shut it down in a second like what started happening in CA.

it's been decriminalized at the federal level basically leaving it up to the states hence Colorado and Washington legalizing it. I would rather our players smoke pot then take pain killers. The fact that is illegal is ridiculous to me but this isn't the time or place for that convo I don't want to to break out the null avatar and scold me for it but if anyone is interested in my views in box me and we can talk.

why bother smoking it when you can just ingest it and get abetter bu.. I mean the effects are more body than mental.
I remember once I sautéed all the leaves in hemp oil after plucking buds off and .. well you know the rest of the story

Do you feel the same way about people who drink because isn't alcohol considered a drug?

This isn't really the right forum for this type of topic, but if its against the law to do it then I'm against it.
For the record I don't drink, but I don't have any problem with with those who do. Heck to have any real fun you gotta drink.

Count me in as a dirt bag. What a Frick in jag off thing to say just because some smoke weed doesn't make them a dirt bag.

and drinking was illegal how many pot heads you know get high and beat there wives? I would rather my kids be the biggest stoners in the world then big drinkers. It's also illegal to drink in public on Pittsburgh now. Given the police turn a blind eye to tailgating but I guess all steelers fans that tailgate are scum as well.
