The Steelers traded a conditional pick for CB Brandon Boykin this summer. The 25 year old corner didn’t see any playing time against the Patriots on Thursday night. When asked about it today, the veteran CB said he didn’t know why he was kept out the game. According to Mark Kaboly, Boykin said if it continues, he’ll ask the coaching staff why. Boykin said it was the first time he was kept from playing defense.
Boykin told members of the media today that he was the nickel corner in practice, and that he expects to play against the 49ers.
