Gilbert Ruled Out; James Harrison Doubtful For Sunday

The SteelersĀ face the Bengals this Sunday in Cincinnati, and they’ll be doing so without starting right tackle Marcus Gilbert. Gilbert has been ruled out for Sunday’s game due to the ankle injury he suffered last week. With Gilbert out, Mike Adams will be starting at RT again this week.

James Harrison, who has missed practice time this week due to a knee injury, is listed as doubtful to play this Sunday. With Harrison out, expect to see Jarvis Jones activated to the active roster. Jones was wearing a new cast today in practice, one that is suited for game play.

The team could be getting starting nose tackle Steve McLendon back on Sunday. McLendon is listed as questionable on the injury report, but did participate fully in this week’s practices. The veteran defensive lineman is coming back from a shoulder injury that has kept him out since the Tennessee Titans game.

Ben Roethlisberger (not injury related), Ike Taylor (shoulder), Cortez Allen (thumb), Brice McCain (hamstring), Troy Polamalu (illness), Ryan Shazier (ankle), and Heath Miller (not injury related) are all listed as probable for Sunday.
