[Gif] Steelers Lose 34 to 28

The Steelers proved the old ‘game of inches’ adage today with a miracle finish that almost was. The Steelers took the lead at the beginning of the fourth quarter with a 17 yard touchdown pass to Jerricho Cotchery, making the score 28-24. The next few possessions were scoreless, until the Dolphins had an explosive play that set up a short touchdown pass from to Clay from Tannehill, putting the Dolphins up 31-28. That explosive play was a 55 yard run by Daniel Thomas.

The Steelers got the ball back on their own 10 yard line, with just under 3 minutes left. After 3 unsuccessful passes, the Steelers used a timeout on 4th and 10 and decided to go for it. Ben scrambled for 8 yards and the Dolphins took over on downs. The defense held the Dolphins offense to a field goal, making the score 34-28. On the next drive, with a minute left, the Steelers had three unsuccessful downs and found themselves with three seconds left on their own 26. After several pitches and laterals, Antonio Brown took the ball to the house up the sideline. Unfortunately, he stepped out of bounds at the 12 yard line.
