The Steelers have signed CB Kevin Fogg to the practice squad. I reported earlier that Fogg was in for a workout, and you can see more about him here. His agent confirmed the news on Twitter this afternoon.

The team will have to make a corresponding roster move to make room for the addition.

Earlier I mentioned that the Steelers had other unnamed players in for tryouts today, and I can provide an update on one of them. CB Anthony Gaitor was also in for a workout. Gaitor was drafted by the Bucs in 2011. His measureables are very similar to Fogg’s.

Report: Steelers Working Out CB Kevin Fogg Today

The Steelers are reportedly hosting former Liberty CB Kevin Fogg for a workout today according to NFL Draft Diamonds. Fogg was with the Miami Dolphins this summer, and the 5’10” 190 lb defensive back played for the FXFL Brooklyn Bolts this fall.  Football Gameplan gave Fogg their FXFL Special Teams MVP award.

Fogg was a return specialist in college where he averaged 10.4 yards per punt return, and 23.1 yards per kick return his senior year. He recorded a 33.5 yard/kick return average his junior year and returned 3 for touchdowns. A foot injury hampered his final season, which kept him out of 7 games.

At his Pro Day, Fogg ran a 4.49 second 40-yard dash, had a vertical jump of 33-inches, and recorded a broad jump of 10-feet, 4-inches.

Here are his highlights from college, and from his stint in the FXFL.

According to Chris Bradford of the Beaver County Times, the team is hosting other players for tryouts today, but their names are not available at the time of this writing.
