I love that this quote about Claypool is essentially a jab at AB: "A weekly human highlight reel, with no baggage."

Really liked this drafted as it unfolded, sans McFarland...Now I LOVE it!

Even more impressive without a first rounder, and not a ton of picks!

If you factor in Minkah, This could go down as one of the best draft classes, EVER! Kudos Colbert!

Lastly, Could someone please post what are 2021 draft allotment is and....Are there, and if so what do you think... Compensatory picks....Thanks!

I think the Steelers have all of their picks for 2021, comp picks won't be announced until the offseason, they might get a 3rd for losing Hargrave.

Ehh if you factor Minkah who had a 2 year head start then for sure. But if you are look solely at the draft picks then I'm not sure, yet. Claypool looks great. Dotson has been a pleasant surprise but Solomon Kindley was available around there too and looks slightly better. The other two are huge question marks but look promising. I think Highsmith is getting a lot of burn with Bud probably leaving next year. If Highsmith and Mcfarland pan out then for sure. This draft class would definitely be up there.

I started a thread recently stating the same thing. Colbert & Co did a tremendous job getting value from the past draft, especially if you work Minkah in to the equation, while he wasn’t picked this year he was acquired using a pick from 2020 and is still on a rookie deal.

Given time I hope McFarland can contribute, he has looked a little lost to date

Anthony McFarland is the least of my worries even if he had a hiccup during the Browns game. Way too much playmaking ability and potential there. He is still very young at 21 with little tread on his tires from his college days.

Regarding the rest of the class, I would say one of the best overall in the game. Not the outright best though. As always, there are challengers.

The Los Angeles Chargers also have something to say about that as Herbert is shocking everyone while Kenneth Murray is an up and coming star linebacker for them. Tampa Bay is another as both Wirfs and Antonie Winfield Jr. are performing very well the same. An under the radar choice for me is the Chicago Bears.

Y'all stop being football fans and admit the 2020 Steelers draft was the greatest of all time, just like the 2021 draft will be the greatest of all time, etc. :)

2021 draft will suck but it’s only because we chose at 32

I've lost the privelage of commenting on draft classes. I thought 2008 draft class was best ever when it happened.

I would take a crappy draft for a 2008 result any day.

Add back in Minkah because we gave our #1 pick for him and we killed it in the draft.

The stars have aligned and we have another shot to win it all.

Why does that disqualify you?! For that matter, why even care about it to this day? It happens man!! :)

I thought Obi Melifonwu would change the game. He busted out big time. One major whiff does not stop me from still commenting.

    It was a bad whiff.

Obi Wan Kenobi is still cool. He even has a new TV show on Disney+ arriving soon.

Yeah....I'm a Star Wars and Star Trek geek.

If you hit on 3 picks in a good way, that's a very good draft. And it seems Claypool, Highsmith and Dotson are on that trajectory. Anything from McFarland would be a bonus and really push that draft up. Still very early but it has a ton of potential.

At 32 and they trade down and make us wait a day I would still have a smile on my face.
