According to Steeler Nation’s favorite reporter Ian Rapoport, the Steelers will host former Bills DE Alex Carrington for a visit tonight.
Former #Bills DE Alex Carrington is going to visit the #Steelers tonight, per source. They are really interested, just lost Ziggy Hood.

Carrington is a name that I mentioned being on the Steelers radar in the forum, and the interest makes a lot of sense. The 6-5, 309-pound DE was limited by a quad injury last year, but he showed promise, and could be a good value (low risk) signing for the Steelers.
I guess it does make more sense when you see this all unfold.. The loss of Ziggy had everyone wondering … This might be the answer. What would be an estimate he would want or rather the Steelers would be willing to pay Steve?
Hmm, tough call. I know the Bills have made him an offer, and that he’s declined their offers in the past. I’d look for a 3 year deal, with a lower first year cap hit. $2.5-3 Mil/yr range, with a lower SB. A lot is going to depend on medical, but they can’t do a bidding war.
