Ben Roethlisberger was on 93.7 The Fan this morning talking about a variety of topics, but mostly about different aspects of the win over San Francisco on Sunday.
During the 15 minute interview, Ben talked about what they could have done betterĀ during their win on Sunday. The quarterback said that while they’re coming off of a fun win, they still look at it with a critical eye as they strive for perfection.
“There were some penalties that hurt us, and ‘3 and outs that shouldn’t have been'”, he said. “I made a bad call in the no huddle that resulted in a 1 yard run, that would have resulted in more if I checked out of the play. I missed Markus (Wheaton) on the sideline one time…that frustrates me.”
Big Ben went into some of the decision making that goes into the no huddle offense and the two point conversions. The quarterback also had lots of praise for Darrius Heyward-Bey, calling him “a selfless player”.
