I understand why so many of us seem to be taking a wishful thinking approach to Levons injury. However, even if the injury is exactly as Tomlin says (Hyperextension) theirs virtually no way Bell plays on Saturday. It's just bad luck and even worse timing. One good thing is that his backups will get a multitude of reps this week.

Confirmed by MRI. No ligament damage.

I hope he can play at 100% after we dump the Ravens.

Could be a blessing in disguise IF (when) we beat the Ravens and IF (when) he is close to 100% for the Broncos. Bell has been carrying a huge part of the offense for months now and this will provide time for the rest of his body to heal and recover as well as his knee. Obviously it would be WAY better if he were not hurt but it may provide him a much more heathy and fresh body overall when he does return.

I was okay with the hit when it happened, saw it as a football play. But then I saw a highlight today, at slow speed. Then I read this:

    http://www.behindthesteelcurtain.co...eggie-nelson-hit-leveon-bell-steelers-bengals

My mind has been changed. If you see the play in slow motion, watch Nelson stick his elbow out, to the knee. He didn't reach out to wrap up. He purposely went for the knee with his forearm/elbow. Legal? Can't argue that. But it was a scumbag move.

Maybe it was the bourbon or the weed they give you before an MRI. Seriously I figured he'd be tight today after a hit like that. Yes we don't need an AJ Green ..playing with a Band-Aid just to get worst, not to mention poor performance.

Scumbag moves are what the Bungles are all about. Been that way for decades if not longer. Usually losers, occasionally successful, always scumbags!

I think that's what Tomlin was implying in his presser. By saying it's "not illegal" isn't saying it was a good tackle or not with intent to hurt.

I initially thought it was the dude's elbow/forearm but it quickly slipped up to his shoulder pad hitting Bell's knee and thigh - if not for that, Bell would be walking OK today and the tackler would be on IR in a cast and sling.

Ironically I just suffered the same injury on Saturday and I could hardly walk on Sunday. Today I feel a lot better I and think I'll be running by Friday. Bell is half my age and in NFL shape with the best doctors at his beckon call, so I am hopeful that he will recover by Saturday. That said if he is at risk of re injuring it I hope they shut him down because we all know the crows are dirty and will try to take him out.

After we beat the Ravens, he will be ready to do some damage in the Mile High.

ESPN RADIO: Bell season is over. however he would probably be ready play if the Steelers make it to the Super Bowl, otherwise they said his season is over. Also, there is more to Ben's stomach virus, they said Ben wasn't going to play because of the virus, but it was actually due to pain in his right leg that he suffered against the Chiefs. Can you hide injuries from the NFL?

Sounds like pure speculation to me and not necessarily fact.

Especially what they're saying about Ben.

Tate's not a bad pick up given the time of the season, if that's who they go with. I think it's fair to say that, whatever the actual injury, it's a long shot to see Bell playing against the Ravens.

I'm not seeing anything saying that his season is over. I listened to ESPN radio this morning on the way in to work and they said nothing.
