Very well done. I saw his post earlier and didn't have the time to respond. You handled it nicely.

    - We always knew the OLB's are fantastic. They certainly earn the hefty salaries we pay them. Highsmith is a great extension for the money.
    - Holcomb looked good for sure. Still a few lapses in the run game, but they will figure it out as they continue to play together. This is a decent group that should only improve as the year progresses.
    - Being too handsy is definitely a problem, but he is the only one that has seemed to want to get physical with the WR's at all. The hold wasn't egregious and likely didn't get called because he was smart enough to make a play on the ball when it was thrown. Wallace is a 3rd corner, Peterson is old, Porter needs to play more... We likely have a bit more work to do at the position group.
    - Cleveland had the big run and one other sustained drive, but overall the defense looked fine to me. They got off the field when they needed to and got splash plays. They didn't commit super costly penalties. The days of holding teams to 10 points and 200 yards is gone in the NFL. Teams are just going to gain yards due to the nature of the game. It all boils down to turnovers, sacks, and holding teams to FG's instead of TD's. We pay our FS and OLB's big time bucks. Those are the turnover guys. If we are going to be a 10 win team like some think we can be by year's end, we need to keep turning the ball over.
    - Not many bright spots. Calvin Austin made a nice catch on the sideline. Pickens obviously, Warren in the passing game. Harris had a couple runs when he had room. Not sure why we didn't send Freiermuth up the seam or target him a bit more. Especially not sure why we put Gunner on the field on offense at all.
    - Pickett hasn't been sharp. Indecisive and forcing things a bit. He just needs to slow down and let it happen. Looks like he is "trying" to make the year 2 leap happen instead of letting his offseason work do the talking.
    - OL definitely worse than I thought it would be. I get we went against good defenses, but we got controlled at the line both games on offense. Garrett was mostly non-existent... but it seemed like the rest of their squad was in the backfield a lot. Might be time to see if Jones is up for the challenge.
    - ST's a bright spot minus Gunners toe tap. One of the worst plays I've seen an NFL player make. Totally braindead back there. Harvin and Boz excellent.
    - Its a bit of everything offensively. Pickett needs to be better, but we also have to be better on first and second down to help him out. OL is getting pushed around and it puts us in a lot of 3rd and long's. Not many QB's are going to be stellar when they are constantly behind the chains.
    - Feel awful for Chubb. Great player and to see that happen is awful. It is a potential career altering injury at his age and usage. Watson isn't that guy and its looking more and more that his contract will set them back from being good yet again. They are going to lose a number of good young players to FA because of it and they haven't had the high quality draft positions to replenish. Watson HAS to step up this year or they will go by the wayside rather quickly.

Garrett didn't do much on the stat sheet, but he was creating pressure on Pickett all game long.

I believe We did send muth up to work the middle on the 1st pick KFP threw, but KFP decided on a different target for double coverage.

That was ruled a turnover on the field. Per NFL rules, coaches are not allowed to challenge a play thats ruled a turnover on the field. All turnovers and scoring plays are automatically reviewed.

If it’s the play I’m thinking of, I put that one on Cole for barely grazing Garrett coming through the middle. When an offensive lineman leads a middle screen, he has to block for a moment and then disengage to get in front of the receiver, not just tap the defender on the shoulder as he barrels towards the QB.

Kenny Pickett is broken. Much like he was his first few games last year. He is playing tight, with happy feet and more often than not, going with his first read because he doesn't trust himself right now.
I still think he has the physical tools to succeed but right now he has the yips and is in his own head, which supposedly was one of his strengths coming out of college.
Whether or not he is permanently broken or just temporarily, remains to be seen.

Lol.. my head must've still been spinning.

We actually agree more often than not, but had a few disagreements in the past. We can both be stubborn to concede a point.

I'm assuming that they reviewed it and it was ruled a fumble and not an interception like it was called on the field.

Just start stacking strong games. He just looks like a guy that is trying too hard to make something happen instead of letting things happen. Much like DJ with the concentration drops and running backwards things. He showed flashes in the preseason of good decision making and good accuracy. Did so in game at the end of last season too. No reason to believe that he will continue to be this bad, but he needs to show more than he has.

He was only credited with one QB hit. The rest of their team ate, but Garrett was quiet.
