30-40 catches, 400-50 yards, 5-6 TDs. He'll be a frequent red zone target, but I'm not sure that folks who think he steps in as an immediate star watched the same college tape that I watched. I saw a guy with solid potential that needs refinement. I saw a guy who didn't win some of the jump ball battles down the field against shorter corners that a QB would want to take for granted that a big guy would win. I think he'll be very good for us - in 2021 or 2022. Before then I think he'll be a nice role player while he develops into a more complete NFL receiver.

Thanks, I am benching him on my fantasy keeper team, except I say he outplays Hardman of KC, so I should have kept the spot open. I thought Hardman would have a breakout game last night.

Depth chart doesn’t mean too much anymore, teams run packages now. He’ll have plenty of red zone looks, several go routes a game, hell they were doing that with Cain last year and he’s not near the physical specimen Claypool is. He’ll see work from the slot too, great weapon in there.

How close to Megatron will he be? I haven't seen him play yet but he looks like a brick outhouse.

I think he definitely plays week 1. The question is snap count. I’m thinking 8-10 offensive snaps week 1.

I'm going to reach out on a limb and say that he does something big in week 1. Not a Louis Lipps style debut (go look that one up), but something big.

If DJ's injury lingers....yes Primus will get playing time sooner rather than later.

I know the phrase, but I have never actually seen a brick outhouse. I’ve seen/used many others. Maybe I don’t run in the same circles you do? :smiley1:

If you ever run across one, don't pass up the opportunity. There might not be another. I'm sure Tomlin had the same thought when he drafted him.:smiley1:

and why would you want to build one so durable? I would think you'd kind of want to re-locate when the "equity" in said house built up. And I don't know where the term "sh&t on a shingle" came from but man, that dude should've re-located when the "equity" hit the fan. but then again, I'm no Bob Villa

Have you been meeting resistance, regarding Claypool as a prospect?

Mostly that it will take longer for him to contribute than I feel it will.

I don’t see the same critiques of his game that others due. I agree with Chris Simms, he may be a homer but his evaluation and film breakdown of Claypool was spot on IMO.

Just curious. Most everything I've seen written about him online has been positive (so far). I don't read every single post on this site though.
I'm ready to see what's the kids got.

We’ll get an idea for how the Steelers feel about him after tomorrow. He doesn’t necessarily have to be a big contributor but if his snap count is significant, that’s what I am going by. I think JuJu was getting positive snaps out of the gate but didn’t start making his mark until around the 3rd game, maybe 2nd game, don’t remember.

What a nightmare for DC’s he’s going to be, having him this involved in multiple ways PLUS he can kill you deep. Wow

    He's here folks.

Like Jeh said, the lack of the preseason made me thinks he wouldn't get that many opportunities couple with our Wr depth. I did say that is we had a WR injury that Claypool would seize the opportunity in a big way.

Not sure how we move forward from here.

Claypool should be penciled in atleast as the #2 if not #1. He has it all. When healthy, I really love Diontae Johnson though.

Does JuJu see the decline in snaps with a healthy DJ? Either way, it's not the worst problem to have.

    Welcome Mapletron.
