The FF was a big beginning of a drive killer.
    So I pick that.

The Flea-Flicker killed it for me.
It wasn't even executed well. Terrible call.

The Bengals were having issue with covering Pickens. Man, I could feel Kenny's pulse on the deep one he missed.. got a little excited and put a little too much on it.
But the general rule, if you find something the defense is not good at, you keep doing it till they prove they can.

I’m giving them a pass since we lost quite a bit of defensive players and it’s their first year vs canadas second

    the suckage works this way:

#1 is Rooney, he keeps the S-Show in place year after year. he is #1 SUCK
then Tomlin is #2, no BALLS to fire Cana-duh's. ass after the bye
and #3, yes Cana-DUH sucks. No creativity, he flat out sucks.

Pickett missed some throws, but Canada is so bad that even one of the Bengals players after the game said that the Steelers run the same plays over and over again and we knew what they were going to do. I agree with this big time. How many times that we run the same play on 1st down. How many times is our QB faced with 3 and 7 to go? I'll answer that, the whole 1st halve. Change it up once in a while, way too predictable. He can't be fired soon enough.

looks like a complete circus at times. we are 10 games in. coaching changes across the board need to be made. high draft picks with the same lack of coaching means very little. when you are not seeing improvement week to week something is wrong. you have the time to build on something now until the end of the season to get a jump on next year but why? the same players may not be here but one thing that will stay consistent is the lack of preparedness from game to game per the team we face. that starts with one guy. it might have been able to work out well enough to keep him from having a losing record with vet players but with so much turnover and such a young team, he just can't do what we do and hope it works. not a good formula. it really is time for the head to be cut off the snake. it won't be done but that's what needs to be done in my opinion.

Yeah, but that's only if you have a QB that can drive down the field to set up a score in those situations, and Pickett ain't Ben. Besides, we don't have Boswell right now, and our defense can't stop a nosebleed, so it ain't going to work.

What is worse is Tomlin seems to have no feel for hiring competent OC/DCs. He's been at this for a long time and still hiring completely inept OC/DCs. Ugh.

I agree though, this latest version of Rooney's is not inspiring confidence and Tomlin should have been sent packing a couple of years ago. Too many beatdowns by underdogs and too many pathetic playoff showings when we had better talent than the opponent. This has been ongoing for 6 or 7 seasons now. I guess Rooney needs to see Tomlin go 0-17 before pulling the trigger?

But that is what it said to do on Canada's play sheet that he used for each of the previous 9 games this year. JMO>

You realize that “this Rooney” has been the team president for our last three Super Bowls right?

I wonder how much Art had influence over the team during the early part of those years(i,e, the 3 Super Bowls).

Did you ever read Bill Cowher’s book

It’s an interesting book and not real long

It gives insight to how the team is run

I think anyone who hasn’t read it would enjoy it

USA, you suck. Could only manage a tie with England. Just goofing with your thread title. Actually I was pretty happy USA tied England in the early stages of the World Cup.

I watched the game and I just don't understand how they get excited for the game of soccer. I believe soccer (futbol) is the only true sport where defense really does win Championships.

Not a big reader of anything sports but I sure the hell read Bill's. I agree that just about every poster on here would find it extremely interesting. I was amazed at the inter workings of the NFL.

I was surprised when he stepped down. Was still a youngster in that world. I am not a fan of the "talking heads" on sports but was impressed with Bill on the NFL shows. You always could tell he still had black and gold blood in him.

Someone tell Canada that the start of the second half doesn’t require you to go back to page one of the game plan

If something is working why go away from it? So confused as to what people want here. Running game looked good and seems they had problems stopping it.

But I guess easier to just jump on the hate train.
