Short term memory, he's not nearly as bad as people pretend.

You got the name right, just the wrong restaurant. Peppi's offers the #7, also known as the Roethlis"burger."

Too late Chargers picked him up.

I don't know. Personally, I think he's pretty bad. One half against Arizona where he, inexplicably, out of nowhere, looked like an NFL quarterback doesn't mean he's good. In the stands we were just laughing that day asking each other, "Where in the hell did this come from??"

I mean, when did he play well other than the half against the Cardinals (where half of his yards came on one play)?

Sure, he was 16-29 at KC (in a loss) but those were the safest passes imaginable (only 4.79ypa in that game), he threw two picks, and we only scored 13 points that day.

1 for 4 at Seattle with 2 interceptions.

2 for 5 with a pick at Cincy in the playoff game that we had pretty much locked up until he entered the game and we couldn't move the ball (and he threw, what should have been, a season-ending pick).

3 years of abysmal preseason performances.

I think my memory is pretty good. I just think he stinks and I think he's pretty much reached his peak. I don't see a lot of potential/upside/whatever. This is the worst backup we've had in years. Maddox, Batch, Leftwich . . . all better than Landry Jones.
I think it's a failed experiment and it's time to move on from him.

I disagree. I see a guy who has steadily improved since arriving. I don't attribute Arizona as a fluke, I see it as what he can be as he continues to hone his craft.

Kc game wasn't great, wasn't terrible. 1 of those Int was tipped, hit AB in the shoulder where he proceeded to then swat it with his hand right to a Chief. They only scored 13 points but KC has a pretty good defense if IIRC.

Seattle he left the game immediately. Can't draw any conclusions from that, could have settled down and had a nice game or could have finished awful. Wouldn't have mattered, no back up was winning that game, Seattle hung 39 on us and Ben played great and still couldn't win.

Cincy game was far from a lock and a heck of a tough game to get thrown into. Only thing I fault him with in that game is throwing anywhere near Burfict who was playing out of his mind.

I don't care about preseason where he plays with nobodies for most of his snaps.

You can think he is awful, but I look at the 2 games he had significant snaps and I see a guy that can be a competent back up. I think peoples expectations of backup QB's are unrealistic. Team is done without Ben for any lengthly absence. I just want a guy that can help weather the storm if its short term and saw enough from Landry in the Arizona and KC game to feel he can give us that as he continues to grow.

    Fair enough.

I don't see it but I could be wrong.

How can you say good when you have grad and Landry behind Ben. Sometimes I wonder about this organization
