Rodgers surprised me. He's still got one hell of an arm at his age. And a brilliant football mind. I expected a 5 out of him and I think we got an 8. He's clearly the best QB - by far - that we've had since Ben. Definately better than I expected.

We need to give him better protection. And MOST OF ALL, better weapons. It's a shame that we have a talented QB and 2 talented RBs but only 1 real weapon at WR, who's inconsistent at times. If he comes back next year, WR is the most important thing to address on offense.

I get what youre saying, but no way he earned an a. He has won us some games this year, ut his play has cost us some as well. Overall he was poor against the browns. He was poor against the chargers. The game monday night boils down to which qb we get. Do we get the qb that doesnt goes through his progressions and predetermines where hes throwing the ball? Or do we get the future hof’er?

This is why I said about taking a hit. The poor played games he played scared. Hopefully he will be more willing to take a hit being that it's the playoffs. It's a fact of being a Qb, sometimes you have to take a hit to deliver a good pass.

That would be a bad look for Allen if he can't get to the Super Bowl this year with no Mahomes, Burrow, or Lamar to face in the playoffs.

I'm currently on the fence between D+ / C- which would probably be around 6.8 - 7.0. Could go up or down depending on the Houston game. Stats wise he's probably around 17-20 in the league which lines up with a low C. Its honestly about what I expected from him at 42. He has had some real clunkers this year and way too many passes in the dirt, forcing the ball to double or triple covered guys, or flat out missing wide open receivers.

I think every poor game I can remember from him was when he was playing scared. I remember one if those games he was watching the rush, and not the targets .

I'm pleasantly surprised with his performance, given his age. Exceeded my expectations. I honestly thought he'd get hurt and the Steelers would miss the playoffs.

I'd love a Cinderella story finish for him taking the Steelers deep in the playoffs.

    One game at a time.

First post on these boards, this seems like a good topic to start with.

I'm at a 9 out of 10 on AR this season. That's based on my expectations when we signed him. I didn't expect a 42 year old to run around and make plays like he did his first 8 seasons. He didn't. What I was hoping for was competent, highly experienced and competitive. yeah, he had a few off games - but I think he's met all those goals. One thing that has really impressed me this season that is a big part of my score - is how he has embraced the city, the team, his situation. He's said all the right things, by all accounts been great in the locker room. He's openly mentoring Will Howard. I can't point to a single instance, decision he's made, comment he's made, that's been detrimental to this season. Maybe he was a diva in the past, he certainly brought a reputation and some baggage. I just didn't see any of that this season. He's been fun to watch, can still make great throws, holds players and coaches accountable during the game. A leader on the field, a good teammate and has won more AFC North Championships than the Browns.

    That's a solid 9 out of 10 for me.

Best QB we've had since Ben. Without question. Without Rodgers we aren't in the playoffs. You think Rudolph plays as well? You're delusional if you do. Give me some time in the pocket and some WRs and we're cooking!

We signed a 41/42-year-old QB. This comes with limitations.
    He's checked all the boxes.
We can't compare him to Bo Nix, Drake Maye etc...
Even comparing him to Brady, Brady wasn't what he was, that Tampa team was built to support him.
But I would agree, Brady was a little better. (He also had better OL, WR's maybe run game)

It's pretty tough to expect Rogers to carry a team, with no real WR's (30+, Head case, blue light specials) and for some strange reason, under utilized TE's.

I agree about Cleveland and Green Bay games... I think some of that was coaching too.. very under prepared.

Houston will destroy us in Pittsburgh if this team isn't playing at its very best.

I gotta agree. I love Josh Allens play on the field, but he'll be pretty beat up.
Mahomes is already showing those wear and tear signs, and strange thing is, he's not battered about like some of the others. (his level of play is still nowhere near a concern)
Herbert won't make it to 40 either.. also a favorite but battered a lot.

I would give an 8.5 or a 9. Way exceeded my expectations. This team seemed to be better at scoring touchdowns than past years when they would settle for field goals. Also, he is arguably the best QB to ever play for the Steelers (note that this is of course not saying he is the best QB in Steelers history!) But, only Ben, Bradshaw and Tommy Maddox threw for more yards in a season than AR did this year, and only Ben and Bradshaw threw more TD's.

First ballot HOFer and possibly one of the 10 best QB of all time.
