Funny you should mention the star naming phenomenon - I have two stars (yeah right) named after me (Birthday and Xmas gifts) - one is "Jobu" named after Serrano's pagan worship doll in Major League and the other is Mr. Ed named after me and that unfortunate old B&W 50's-60's TV show about the talking equine. I'm also an amateur astronomy (loose interpretation) and my scopes can barely spot these nearly 10th magnitude distant orbs. Per biblical references there are more stars out there than grains of sand on all the beaches of this planet, so seems safe these star naming businesses will never run out of fresh primordial material to sell naming rights at $50 a pop. Right in line with my "used" lottery ticket sales idea where I sell used tix at 10 for $1 with the odds of losing are not much greater than the odds of winning with unused tix but at 1/10th the price.
