Meh, I said the same thing. In context, it makes perfect sense and most people agree. It's just a "colorful" way to say it. And I'm sure he knew people wouldn't like it and it would "explode" with hate, but I doubt he cares.

To me the worst thing about what he said is "too" instead of "to".

Not as bad as Rodney White of Atlanta saying that all the jurors should go home and kill themselves.

I haven't been following this very closely but to me, this isn't on the level of Casey Anthony not getting a guilty verdict. Seems to me this was an easy case to prove doubt, Zimmerman had injuries to the back of his head consistent with having your head slammed on the ground, how can anyone here be so sure it wasn't self defense. Again, going back to Casey Anthony, this verdict is not shocking at all, she got away with murdering her baby.

This case is very similar to the Anthony case in that the prosecution overcharged in both of them. They didn't have the evidence for a conviction of murder in either instance. Had they pursued Manslaughter in the first place they very well might have gotten a conviction. However, this case was a political move from the very beginning. They brought in a special prosecutor solely to placate people after first determining there wasn't enough evidence to move forward.

Too bad she didn't have a CCW permit. James probably wouldn't be saying such a stupid thing right now.

2 days ago in Cincinnati (silverbacks new thug team) a white 42 yr. old male died who last August was beat up by 6 Black Teens who were merely bored.

Look up a case here in Knoxville called the "Christian/Newsome" case. What kills me about this is that people like the "Rev" Al Sharpton come out and talk about how this proves we are sooooo racist in this country but what I would LOVE to know is would Al still be saying that if the verdict went the other way? Does Al not know that a black man has been elected TWICE in this country? Does Al not know that OJ killed TWO people and got away with it? Al should be happy because now he can go on peddling the same old bullcrap that he has for years. I actually AM a minister and when I see people like him using the word "Reverend" to introduce themselves it makes me sick. I'm ordained and licensed by the state of TN but I never call myself the "Rev" BlountForceTrauma. This guy seriously needs to just do us all a favor and shut up. HE is the one inciting this kind of stuff among these guys tweeting this nonsense. Good grief guys we're in serious trouble here.

I've been keeping up with this religiously every day. I was convinced that he was not guilty but then I kept thinking how the people of FL let Casey Anthony go. I know not everyone on here has children but when you do it's just absolutely more than you can even THINK about to lose one. Now IF either of my kids died and I was accused of it I would be doing all I could to prove that I didn't do it. Then if I had my day in court and was exonerated I would be out there TIRELESSLY trying to find out what happened and who done it. Has anyone seen Casey out there looking??? It's like Norm McDonald said about OJ when OJ said he was gonna find the real killer and then Norm showed a pic of him on the golf course and Norm yelled something like "THERE HE IS!!!" I honestly believe this jury done the right thing just based on common sense and the evidence and I feel like they can rest in that. But with Casey Anthony I wonder if those jurors ever stop and think "ya know if it were MY kid I'd be looking EVERYWHERE to find the killer. Maybe I made a HUGE mistake in letting her go." It's so incredibly sad that Trayvon Martin died and I hate that and I'm not happy that it happened. I'm just happy that I feel like justice was served for a change. I think that's what people need to try and convey in this situation.

Here I am again writing just how STUPID this country can be. Nobody making these STUPID tweets was there or knows what was going on that night, but wants to give an opinion about what JUSTICE is. Like they know the truth! I wonder if they would be calling for justice if Trayvon had grabbed Zimmerman's gun and shot Zimmerman to death right there in the street.

My post-verdict thoughts on the George Zimmerman trial:

    1) As a parent of a teenager and as a Christian, I feel compassion for the parents of Trayvon Martin for the loss of their son.
    2) It appears that Martin was no choirboy but the prosecution tried to paint him as one which was a mistake.
    3) To any George Zimmerman, hero wannabes, just call the cops and let them do their jobs. Don't try to be the neighborhood hero.
    4) To Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, et al, it's a disgrace for you to call yourselves "civil rights" leaders. Race baiter is more appropriate. Neither of you are MLK, Jr.
    5) Going forward, maybe we ought to wait for all of the TRUTH and evidence to come out before we comment. Looking at you President Obama.
    6) The judge's bias in this case was alarming. I don't think I've ever seen anything like it.

Geraldo Rivera commented this morning that if you took a poll, most African-Americans believe that George Zimmerman should be convicted and most Caucasian Americans believe that Zimmerman should be acquitted. The TRUTH is color blind. Why should a person's color, race, ethnicity matter in cases like this? Harrison, being black, appears to be playing into this perfectly. He knew dang well that his comments would ignite a firestorm (and some of the comments criticizing him are equally deplorable and idiotic) and, like Snack said above, he didn't give a crap. I happen to be white and if the evidence and the TRUTH vetted Zimmerman's guilt, I would be the first in line to say that he should be convicted and pay for his crime. Back to Harrison, he of all people should be careful about making any comments or criticisms about someone committing an act of violence and getting by with it.

Out of curiosity, Lizard, what does military service have to do with your opinion on Zimmerman's guilt or innocence? :hmmm:

Exactly Jack about the being white part. I was basically praying that Casey Anthony would get convicted. She got away with murder flat out. I didn't care who she was or what color. She committed a murder based on the evidence and I didn't rejoice that she was freed and I don't know one single white person that did. Also I'm guessing that NBC is gonna get a big fat lawsuit from Zimmerman because they doctored the 911 tape. For those that don't know what I'm talking about the original 911 tape had Zimmerman saying that there was a suspicious person in his neighborhood. So NBC played the tape as "there's a suspicious person in my neighborhood. He's black". Well what ACTUALLY happened was "there's a suspicious person in my neighborhood" and the DISPATCHER says "what's their description? White? Black? Hispanic?" and THEN he said "He's black". I honestly think that is what has incited a lot of this because obviously these people making these tweets don't seem to be the most informed people in the world. The same thing happened in the Rodney King case. At the original stop the dashcams were running and King LUNGED at an officer and they thought he was on pcp and his 3 OTHER friends who faced NO "brutality" that night were telling him to just cooperate. Well when the media released the tape of the cops beating him they cut out the 17 seconds of footage where KING started the fight and wouldn't comply. THAT is what incited riots. The media is absolutely one sided in this country and it actually wound up getting someone killed after the King verdict. It's sad. It really is.

Darcrav, read thought 3 above. I agree he should have let the cops do their jobs. His account and every eyewitness account seems to indicate that Trayvon Martin initiated the physicality. I don't disagree that Zimmerman may be a loser. It appears that Martin was as well. Sadly, when these two "losers" crossed paths one of them ended up being the biggest loser.

Sorry, but you're way off base. He called 911 and spoke to a 911 operator not a cop. No member of the police told him to stand down. Martin doubled back and instigated this thing. He chose to get into an altercation with a punk ass cracker instead of walking home.
