Does firing him after the season make guys catch the ball, field kicks, etc.? No, it doesn’t. Fire him now and inject some life into the corpse of an offense we have.

To be fair, most people said Washed Ben was holding Canada back from utilizing everything he wanted to do. It was the simplest explanation, given what Ben was showing us. No one was calling Canada a genius. We were just expecting movement and innovation (which never materialized).

Firing him midseason likely changes nothing. I can't see where keeping him around for the balance of the season accomplishes a whole hell of a lot, either.

 

I suspect fans would be questioning the quality of the coaching staff with or without all the injuries we’ve had this season.

Most of the time this old adage is true....if it doesn't do well in college....it really doesn't do well in the NFL.
