Woodley's karate kick

I don't see the connection. Playing football is far more demanding on his muscles than a simple kick. Besides, I wouldn't say he kicks over his head, that's a slight exageration

 

He's not kicking that high, I've seen his celebration as much as you have. I don't have an issue at all with the celebration. It puts far less pressure on his hamstring than playing football does. I'm not in football shape whatsoever, but I can easily kick as high as Woodley does without hurting myself. Put me on the field though and ask me to do what he does, and yeah, I'd probably pull something. That kick he does isn't overly demanding on his hamstring.

 

it isn't much of a kick , he jumps up then kicks down, not up.. but if i were him I'd chill out on anything that could tweak it.

 

I have been wondering the exact same thing. The next time I see him do that and then see him on the injury report the next week with a hammy, I'm going to de-friend him on Facebook!

You know when I first saw this topic I thought the original poster was going to say that there is a correlation between this kick and Woodley's hamstring issues. I thought this because I tried doing his celebration before and I could feel tension on my hamstring. Maybe I'm crazy but I would prefer that he doesn't do anything that could increase the risk of reinjuring his hamstring. I say find a new celebration or stop doing it. Just sayin that I'm just sayin to just say.

 

And you're at the same level of physical conditioning as a professional athlete right?

 

No kidding eh. If our guys can't kick the air without hurting themselves, we have much bigger problems than ever before in the history of the NFL. Woodley's celebration is fine. He's not going to hurt himself doing that. I can do the same thing right now and not hurt myself, and I'm not in shape he is.

 

I play almost as much as Pouncey, and Troy.
