I’ll never root for a loss or to miss the playoffs. What’s crazy is if Tomlin finally has a losing season fans think its the end of the road for him. He is here until he decides to leave.

And the day he decides to leave he will have already had several calls from other NFL teams showing interest for a HC. We can hate him all we want sometimes but there is no denying he has had a pretty successful HC career. It’s just that he has gotten stale in PGH for a while now.

People thought that about Bellicheat too. And now he's coaching and dating in college.

It was Hoodies decision alone to go hang out with all the sorority sisters.

I'm pretty much done with Tomlin, but I'll root for this team to continue winning. Ofc I want to win the division and see what happens once we're in.

I never want the Steelers to lose, but if it's 100% confirmed that if the Steelers don't win the division then Tomlin gets fired, then yes, I want them to lose so Tomlin is gone.
It's short term pain for long term gain. I believe we would be much better off in the long run. There's nothing wrong with short term sacrifices to plan for long term success.

But as it stands now, where Tomlin is very unlikely to be fired, then of course I want them to make the playoffs.

Belichick is 73, or 74, and wanted what he had in NE. What some of You actually believe Tomlin has, but he doesn't. Belichick wanted to be HC/GM, and nobody wanted to give him all that again. Very few teams want their HCs making all the decisions.

I want Tomlin gone but they are likely going to win the division by default.

There is nothing to be proud of finishing in 1st place in the AFC North Ugly Pageant and watching this buttercream defense get humiliated in the playoffs.

If we win the division that's great. but we won't do much in the playoffs. and Tomlin will have his job for at least another 2 years

It depends on what they do in the playoffs if they win a weak North by Default.

Simply put, why are these premises mutually exclusive? Cowher sort of did this a year after winning the SB but losing first playoff game to Jags the next year.

Cowboys are the antithesis of this. Jerry Jones is the head coach, general manager and owner. Cowboys head coaches are only head coach in name only. Figureheads...like the president of Iran. :lolol: Iran has a president... and a Supreme Leader.

The Steelers will be the worst team in the playoffs, so I expect they will get humiliated again in the Wild Card.

This team has become the definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over, thinking an overrated Head Coach whose abilities are inflated by the media can make this team a contender.

I don't think it matters what happens this year... you have all those draft picks...the FO might decide to just do a fresh start and let the new regime pick the players they want.

Heck a new coach might want to switch to a 4-3 and do something completely different on offense?

Rodgers is probably done after this year... where does Tomlin even go from here?

43 and 34 defenses are a thing of the past as nickel defenses are becoming the norm. I can see us going 335 with the right DC. As for Tomlin, I'm not sure. This past weekend was interesting. I can see Tomlin's agent being the one that dropped the contract info out and then the FO coming out Sunday saying that they intend on exercising the 27 option year. The first week of the offseason will be interesting. If no news passes by Wednesday, I'd be sure that all is good and he's returning.

Rather win division and hope for non Vegas altering entertainment.

Raising family takes energy. Got little left to focus on millionaire coaches and players.
