I just chatted with my buddies wife (They're all Ravens fans) and came away happier than ever!

Just think they've got to go through 2 weeks of rehashing the loss to the Steelers!

On another note watched some film over on their site (Behind the bench 2nd half) They have Flacco talking about the long throw that Gay broke up. Said he was trying to get it up there so the receiver could go up for it and make it a "more obvious" PI. Classic Ravens PI strategy and they don't even try to hide it.

But if he'd overthrown the receiver (so he ran on to it), then it was a certain touchdown.

It was only because he underthrew that Gay got back in time... maybe Flacco should try winning instead of playing for penalities?

That don't make sense, Didn't Flacco underthrow the guy. If he lays it up there, it's an easy TD. Am I wrong??????

Yes, that was the point. They way he was talking on the sideline made it sound like that's thier DNA.

Yeah, the play Gay made was PI. It did not appear as though he fully looked back for the ball.

That's hilarious! PI as an offensive strategy, huh?! I wonder if they practice their PI plays during the week. LOL?

Maybe he had no confidence in is arm, Gay was burned if he didn't underthrow it.

Gay kind of snapped his head around. Guess the ref thought he looked for the ball but. it was the rats. They deserve a missed call. Like that 1 full yard short we had against CLE a few years ago. I was in a Steeler bar and we all roared. Then they showed Rob Ryan going absolutely gorilla dick

If you're talking about the play I think you are, the one where it appeared we were short (by less than an inch, not a yard), then it was a legit first down. People watching on TV didn't understand the perspective they were seeing it from. But you could tell from the yard lines that the ball was farther upfield than it appeared from the camera angle. The ref got down on his knees to get a close look, and the ball only needs to reach the fat part of the stick, not the thin part. I find it hard to believe he was wrong.

Those two cannot be separated for him. It's their go-to play. I say this all the time, I would do it every single play if I was them. One out of three would work, at least one out of six. Especially against us. That's a TD every two drives. We know it's not dignity that's stopping them. Maybe they're too stupid.

That is precisely why the spot foul PI is absolutely the WORST rule in the nFL. It rewards mediocrity and that just isn't right. It is basically like saying well, I know I can't make the throw I need to so why not use the refs to assure us of great field position and porbable TD. I hate it. Even when it is in our favor. It should be 15 yards. Period.
