With a stomping like they took yesterday, the natives will be restless.
And some think that it gets bad around here with MT. Ha MT has it made
here in PGH compared the those animals in Philly.

I was thinking about starting a thread about this too. I wouldn't be surprised if he lost his job and I honestly think he deserves to but I say they give him at least one year. It's pretty easy to see why they don't have any trophies really.

I'll never feel sorry for Philly fans but he screwed that fan base and set that organization back years. He'll be gone, either he will tuck tale and run back to college or he'll be fired.

My buddy is a big Eagles fan and he told me that their owner is really good and patient and he's gonna give Chip more time. We'll see. Honestly I consider Philly fans to be some of the most irrational fans in all of sports but in this instance they are perfectly justified to be calling for his head.

Theres a difference between being patient and being stupid. He lost the locker room, players don't want to play for him, he let go very good players and hand picked guys for his system that aren't working out. He's done.

I hope you're right. You know how loyal I am to the NFL and I can't stand when these Johnny Come Lately's show up in the NFL and act like they're gonna "revolutionize" the game or "reinvent the wheel" or whatever else. I remember when he first got there they were actually putting special clocks on the screen to show the time between plays. The media created the hype, bought the hype, and now they are all trying to act like they've known all along that he wasn't the man. They have no shame. Chip honestly strikes me as a very arrogant guy. Almost like he always considers himself the smartest guy in the room. Do you get that vibe from him?

The worst thing the front office ever did was give him control of player personnel. Andy Reid wanted this for years and they never gave it to him. Yet somehow it was okay to give that control to Kelly, who has systematically destroyed this team. I don't think he'll be fired, even though he should be. The Eagles will give him one more season to right the ship, wherin he goes 2-12 and they get the first pick in the 2017 draft.

I believe they do have a patient owner, but I am not
so sure the current players buy into what ole Chip is selling. He has gotten rid of
a lot of talent. His defense sucks.

The Eagles are getting stomped today. MAYBE they let Chip try and take a qb next year to see what he can do but I feel like I've seen enough to say that he should go back to college because he's clearly not man enough for the NFL. These stupid gimmick schemes don't work when you have to play against big boys every week. Go back to college and pick on future insurance and real estate salesmen because you're clearly not cut out for the pros.

I agree. The owner deserves some blame too, he must have bought into what Chip was selling in the interview. "I'm gonna take my college system and show you all how its done". :goofy:

Yeah I told my buddy today that he's nothing but a snake oil salesman. The guy just comes across as incredibly arrogant and smug and he just makes you almost WANT to see him fail. He said after the game that it "starts with him" and I'm like "Well given that the owner made you the GM, HC, and Head of Operations I'd say it FINISHES with you too..." Only Pete Carroll and Bill Belichick has as much power within their organizations as he does in Philly but they've actually accomplished stuff. This dude is just all hype. The sad thing is that the fans can raise enough to stink to probably get rid of him but there's not much they can do about ownership. Sorta like in Dallas. I predict that Chip goes to Michigan and Harbaugh reunites with Luck. You think that's a possibility? Some have said he might be lured to LSU but I highly doubt he would come to the SEC. They play a much rougher brand of ball down here than he seems to care for.

Chip is a great coach. I think titans will lure him there. He will help mariota become a premier nfl qb next year.

Based on what? He has shown nothing in the NFL. He had a gimmick scheme that professional coordinators figured out very quickly. He thought he was the smartest guy in the NFL and got rid of very good players and even has other good players who are doing nothing in his system. When you've got Darren Sproles and DeMarco Murray and all you wanna do is throw it you're not even a GOOD coach. Much less a great one. IF he's gonna prosper at this level he's gonna have to be under the tutelage of people who actually understand the game on a professional scale. If another owner makes him the judge and the jury again their franchise will suffer the same fate as the Eagles have. Just my two cents anyway.

Carroll actually had NFL experience, even before his first coaching gig, he was DC. Then he got the Jets job, then went back to college and then got the Seattle job and I think all that experience is why he was able to finally put it together in Seattle. So I don't count him as the typical college coach making the jump to the NFL that has never experienced it on any level. I just think its really hard for those guys to succeed. Even Harbaugh was a QB coach and of course was a player in the league too. Kelly has nothing, no coaching experience, no NFL playing experience, nothing.

I don't see Harbaugh coming back any time soon, I think he'll at least finish out his Michigan contract before considering it again. He has a sweet deal there. Personally, I don't know why any of these college coaches with these cushy gigs ever leave, I guess pride, wanting to achieve the highest accolades.

The reason I was thinking that about Harbaugh was that he was asked recently if he was considering the Indy job and he just said "No Comment". Generally when you hear that it throws up a red flag but he might just be tagging them along too. The funny thing about Pete Carroll is when he came back to the league I really thought it was just to get out of trouble but then he winds up building a juggernaut. Go figure.

Good! Maybe the Chargers will hire him after they fire McCoy and move to LA!

I say the Chargers make a play for Whiz. He was a good OC for them and I bet if they're gonna keep Rivers he'd like to have Whiz out there.

You're assuming that the Spanos' would make a decision that makes sense. Remember, this is the same bunch of dolts that dumped Drew Brees, Junior Seau, Tomlinson and fired a proven coach after a 14-2 season! Spanos has said many times that he has no intention of dealing with San Diego for a new stadium no matter where it would be built. He's pulling a "Major League" on SD taxpayers so, he would have never hire a good coach. Rivers has already said he won't go to LA. so, it doesn't much matter who the new coach is anyway.

Yeah Spanos AND AJ Smith are major morons. I think my buddy used to conduct voodoo rituals to try and get rid of AJ Smith. LOL!

AJ wasn't the whole problem. Remember, Spanos hired him too. The problem with the Chargers is, and has always been, ownership. I haven't lived in SD city limits since '89 so my taxes haven't gone to support that bunch of losers but, I used to.
