What a wonderful statement. He is so amusing. So if the offense sputters its not my fault, look at Tomlin and Rooney. This guy is a complete joke. They would do themselves a great service letting him have the door hit him in the @ss after this season and hiring a competent SUNDAY play caller. His resume indicates his Saturday work was subpar as well.

 

Worst part is I really like the way this roster is headed but our coaching is so below the line we can’t contend with that type of handicap.

 

If you listen the whole thing Canada talks about how they have an organizational philosophy that starts with AR2, Kahn, Tomlin. Of course the torch and pitchfork crowd prefers clickbait

Steelers had the least passing TDs in all of football last year. Second to last by 1 in total TDs. How could anyone want to watch another year of this Archaic football?

It got much better as the season went on last year as you know

 

We will be outside looking in again. Look at the Titans with their run first approach. Yes it worked in the 2nd half of the season but Pickett started being more comfortable as well. Oh, and Watt returned.

They best be just putting it out there as we are going to be a run first offense. Balance is the key and they have added beef up front to protect Pickett as well as weapons. Their is no excuse if its just run, run, pass.

But the coaches are never wrong in some eyes.

Jet Sweep Canada is a subpar offensive coordinator. Hopefully Glenn Thomas can help the cause which I believe he will. And possibly take over for the dolt.

 

what worked last year? Not much of anything on offense worked last year.

it took 2 heroic throws from Kenny to pull rabbits out of our ASS to beat the Rats and the Raiders, late in the season. Not much at all worked on O last year. We will be ~.500 again this year if we do the same thing. to rely on BOSWELL is NOT a plan.

 

It did get better - much , well, I guess so. From worst (we flat out SUCKED early) to maybe 15th or 20th ranked - OK, yes, that is much better. but that won't get us back to the playoffs, let alone even sniff an AFCCG.

 

I'm usually a part of the torch and pitchfork crowd, but not this time. Canada should be given the benefit of the doubt in 2023. Let's see how he does with Pickett and new free agents on OL and WR. There's no excuse for him now.

it was painful, THAT is for sure.

 

data is data. so, can't argue. schedule got very soft. played better, yes.

2023 is a new year. we will see.

you say one game - but so were ~6 other teams. We are part of the miserable middle of this parity league. FAR from what USED to be the Steelers, THAT is for sure.

 

We can only hope, the front office has AGAIN improved our talent roster.
I think play callers have to have a feel for what is happening momentum wise etc.
Put players in a position to SUCCEED. Can he do this? We shall see.

Matt Canada doesn't run the offense

After listening to offensive coordinator Matt Canada speak, it really sounds like he has very little say in how the offense is constructed. We haven’t decided if this is good news or bad news.

 

so - what does this even mean? that MT runs the offense?

this is just a ludicrous assertion, these 2 or 3 sentences. MC runs the offense - make no bones about it. this is more media spin to deflect attention off of his ineptness.

 

Glenn Thomas could have been brought in to construct the offense

 

but he had sticks and weenies ready to go.
