Just kidding BBH. No way in hell they let Ben in first ballot. Should he be? Yes. Will they vote him in? No.

The national sports media has looked down on Ben going back even further than the rape allegations. He was never an MVP, or a Super Bowl MVP. He wasn't a first team All Pro guy. I can forsee the committee coming up with lots of reasons for Ben to have to wait a season or two.

I hope this doesn't happen, but honestly I will be shocked if it doesn't.

This last HOF class should all but solidify it. The worst HOF Class I have ever seen in the NFL. Seems to be getting worse every year. NFL HOF is starting to turn into the Basketball Hall of Fame. If you had a good career, you get in. Pretty sad.

If truth be known....half of the HOF players wouldn't be in the HOF if You went by who kids could, or should emulate. Want Your kids 2 emulate T. Bradshaw....Married 50 times(cheated on half of them), alcoholic, and admitted pill popper???
I Love Bradshaw, but please with the older guys were saints.

Yes. Tin foil hat time but I honestly believe Brady only played this year to avoid going in with Ben. We all know it would've been 90% Steelers fans and Brady doesn't want to go into the HoF getting booed. I'm still considering going when he goes in to boo him.

This is what I heard online from so called Steelers fans. I just can’t believe they would dismiss him as first ballot

I am just being a realist. Even Bettis wasn't a first ballot guy. I thought he was a lock. The committee treated Bettis like he was just some goaline back.

I already know what you are going to hear. "Ben won those Super Bowls because of an elite defense". "Ben was never the best at his position during the era he played in". "Ben never won an MVP award with during a season or from a Super Bowl".

You can go on and on. I'm not saying it's right. I personally think Ben deserves it. But you guys who think Ben is a lock are going to be disappointed.

His stats though are impressive. Longevity with a terrible line for many years while putting up really good numbers and rating

Bettis was fringe 1st ballot. 8th all time yards and 11th for tds. Depended on class tbh.

Standard is set for QBs. Ben is 5th all time passing yards and 2 Championships. There’s people who think Rivers is 1st ballot with less yards and no Championships.

Ben is 1st ballot and Rivers gets in 2-3 years after.

Rose's situation is irrelevant. It is a different sport and a completely different set of voters.

Also, Rose was actually proven guilty. That simply isn't the case with Roethlisberger.

There are very bad people in the Hall of Fame. Jim Brown is there. Look at his history of violence against women. Warren Moon was accused of assaulting his wife. Lawrence Taylor is a drug addict and a registered sex offender.

Nobody should be looking at Roethlisberger as a role model, but he was a Hall of Fame quarterback and he likely will go in the first time he is on the ballot.

Ben will almost certainly be a first ballot HOFer. The only conceivable way he wouldn’t have been is if Brady hadn’t retired a they wouldn’t want to have two headline QBs in the same class. That won’t be the case now. Yinzers are HOF paranoid, “de keep are guys ought, dere jealous of are sucksess!” But the Steelers get lots of guys in, Ben will too. And I’d bet anything on first ballot. And rightfully so.

While I believe without question Ben is absolutely a first ballot guy, I also felt the same about T.O., Harry Carson, and others, so you never know.

I have a hard time imagining a scenario where Ben isn't a first time HOF. I think the only thing that can prevent it is if Millidgeville becomes an issue.

Technically I think Ben should be a first ballot HOF as he played the position like no other with his toughness and durability. However, as others have stated his off field issues could play a role. Also his lack of success during the latter half of his career could count against him as well.

Ben’s Super Bowl stats sure are nothing to brag about for 3 games:

    Passer Rating;69.9
    Passing Yards: 642
    Touchdowns: 3
    Interceptions: 5
