I'm not sure if the Steelers will eventually select a WR in the 2019 draft, but I could see them doing so. I would like to see them add a bigger receiver since they currently do not have one. I have been on the Chase Claypool wagon, (even last year before he decided to stay at ND). But there are a ton of options for sure.

CBS had a little write up that goes over some of the Steelers' expected interests:

    https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft...ver-based-on-how-theyve-drafted-the-position/

I've seen Hamler mocked to us before (it might have been cbs), but I like MInnesota's Tyler Johnson too.

The kid from Liberty, Gandy-Golden is intriguing and Steelersrule6 likes Denzel Mims and a lot of people have mentioned KJ Hill from the Buckeyes.

If we do select one, I would have to think it would be in the fourth round. Just a hunch. If they don't draft one, I'm OK with that as I think Ben will make the current crop that much better but it is a deep position and may end up being BPA in the mid rounds.

I have not clue if we pick one and I am on the fence if we should. I personally like our group however it is a passing league and you can never have enough weapons. With that said I haven't paid much attention to this group but what I have seen the kid from Liberty play in the senior bowl and he did well. What I would love to see is a 7th rounder or undrafted guy. One name to keep an eye on is Binjimen Victor from Ohio St, 6-4 195lbs. He had a nice shrine game as well

    https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/binjimen-victor/qGNfHsd38k

J'marcus Bradley is another guy who had a good shrine game and my wildcard is Navy QB/WR/RB Malcom Perry. Perry can play and make things happen kinda like another player we had back in the day......slash.

Check James proche from smu if you get a chance. Worth the look.

I'm a kj hill fan as well. He's got some Hines ward to his game. Not a bad guy to be compared to.

I'd take any DB or WR from the buckeyes. They are talented. Several other positions as well.

I've seen Proche in some national mocks to the Steelers too.

    review from the cowgirl site

    https://cowboyswire.usatoday.com/20...e-james-proche-could-reinforce-cowboys-corps/

I think the current WR group can be good enough for them to afford a late round development prospect

If the Steelers want to exploit the middle of the field like in that depot review, LSU's Justin Jefferson is the man. Made his money on those crossers.

I don't agree with the assessment about the contested catches. Watch the game he does quite well at it.

Probably just his stature, but Proche reminds me of John Brown

I love what Perry brings, but wouldn't he have a 5 year military obligation? Another guy he reminds me of is Randel El..just a nice productive player in many phases of the game.

changed the rules to make it easier for people drafted into pro sports to “defer” their service. Last two or three years.

Nice article a few things stand out to me the first is the comparison to Will Fuller.....as long as he is healthier than fuller, lol. The second thing is his background and how he was raised. He basically raised himself with his mom being gone long period of times. That has Steeler written all over him if you ask me.

I keep reading how this years class is so good and I am not saying it isn't but IMO I don't think it is close to last years draft. With that said there are some really nice players I am seeing up and down this group, this guy is one of them.

When the guy from Steelers Depot did his mock draft, he had the Steelers taking Jefferson in the second round.

That is where in hill or proche would work out better if they stay slotted later then Jefferson. Either one could be there in the 4th possibly. We could use our 2 nd on a guy like anae. He looks like a perfect fit for us. Both proche and hill also made their living over the middle and on the crossers.

I expect him to test really well at the combine, he's a deep threat and can help on special teams, maybe a guy to consider in the third round.

I've seen him be selected in the first round in a lot of mocks.

if Jalen Reagor is still available when we pick in the second round, the Steelers should run up to the podium as he is the blazing fast and dynamic vertical threat we don't currently possess in our WR group.

If he runs a 4.3 or lower, he probably won't be there at #49.

Just to show how fast 4.29 is, Mike Wallace's 40 time was 4.33 at the combine.
