Why does our offense always look so out of sync?

Do you think that's what BA figured out...?

Don't worry, mac - at least Omar can do his job! Otherwise we'd have no-one left to make the trades after all these cuts...

    Right here.

    This is the problem.

This O line has been far too injured to have any consistency. And its been this way for several years running now. Now I know other teams have injuries and thats not supposed to be an excuse, but the Steelers injuries on their O line have been far beyond the norm. Chalk it up to bad luck or chalk it up to Marcus Gilbert being clumsy, but whatever the reason its been a bad run for this O line. And its not even a personnel issue either. Individually they have good players. Starks is a decent LT, Colon a decent G, Pouncey is a stud C, and they've got 2 high rd draft picks with tons of potential at the other G and T positions. They've even got a really solid back up at the interior line positions in Legursky. But this line just simply cannot stay healthy for an extended period of time. The biggest factor in consistently good O line play is a lot of practice and playing time together. With the Steelers rash of injuries the last couple of seasons causing guys to shuffle in and out and switch positions, they just haven't gotten the practice and playing time together.

    Agreed.

I was wondering the other day how different the season might have turned out had Decastro not got injured. Perhaps not a resounding difference, but would perhaps remind us now of why we were all so optimistic in the summer.

I think BA and Ben both think that way and figured that's what we had to do.

Over the past 2 seasons, I'll bet that the Steelers haven't had the same 5 guys start on the O line more than three games in row. Im going from memory here and maybe its failing me, but I'd be shocked:shocked: if that were the case. Maybe someone wants to do the research, Im not, but I'd be willing to bet that its not more than 3.
