I'm really surprised Neil O'donnell hasn't been mentioned just for the fact of Super Bowl 30.

Nah, there was talk of the legendary Smith on a thread a few days ago.

The funny thing was with Smith, that in preseason I remember a lot of people (me included) being hyped about how aggressive he played. Really excited. Poor chap. My memory of the game was that he basically put a few steps wrong here and there, but those wrong steps led to Moss destroying us on scoring plays. The play where Brady got up in his face was a TD that I recall Smith wasn't really involved in. But my memory ain't what it used to be, and oh how I've tried to forget that game...

I don't think two plays wipe out what was otherwise a very competent and sure-handed couple of seasons.

Yeah I agree Thigpen. When Neil was good he was good. Ofcourse the same goes for when he was bad as well. But I believe he was even named the team mvp a couple of times so I'd say he should be spared from the list.

Huh, Kemo Von Oelhoffen !?!?! How in the hell is that? Kemo was an adequate DE during his time here. Or, are you talking about Kris Kemoeatu? If so, he is still by far not the worst Steeler of all time unless you have just started following the team.

Ok, I got ya now. I was going to call you extremely crazy if you were talking about Von Oelhoffen, lol. Kemoeatu sucked at times but had great games, just too inconsistent and too much of a hothead causing him to commit dumb penalties. Kemoeatu was an awesome pulling Guard and excelled in our running game. However, the more we placed an emphasis on a pass first offense, Kemoeatu started to struggle, he's not a pass protecting guard. He also started committing a rash of boneheaded penalties if I remember correctly. He simply had a rough time in pass protection as time carried on. He ended up becoming a salary cap casualty, I think he was the 5th or 6th highest paid player on the team. If we are talking O-lineman, Johnathan and Chris Scott, Darnell Stapelton and Trai Essex were much worse and had their heads much further up their asses, lol. There is no way that Kemoeatu is the worst Steeler of alltime. As I mentioned, that honor would fall to Jamain Stephens, Kent Graham or Huey Richardson.

Well, if you've been following them 40 yrs there are many much worse than him, as I just mentioned above, those honors would fall to Jamain Stephens, Kent Graham and Huey Richardson in my opinion.

Very interesting. Back in 2000 I dated a girl from Fox Chapel. We flew back a few times to visit her family, and we went to that shopping center. If memory serves, there was a bar in there somewhere.

Let's not forget that Ben did the same thing to the Raiders?

Also, saw someone on another post say D Johnson? Seriously? With what came out about how he never really had reps in practice, but was thrown out there and told block this play, I don't think he's on the hook as of now.
