Talk about an understatement. Put AJG on the Steelers and he'd be lighting up the league. AJG is hyped because he deserves to be, he's easily one of the most talented receivers in the league

AB is up there with Jerry rice, that's how good he is. In fact he does a whole lot more than rice, as far as skill set goes. Rice played in a west coast offense, high percentage passes and the greatest qb all-time throwing him the ball. Ab will never get Jerry rice's records but by far is a more complete player. Just like Hines, he wasn't fast, but ran great routes, excellent hands and would clean your clock. Even ward I would rank up their with rice and others just for his tenacity alone.

AB leads the league in receptions and is a lock for the probowl, in the open field no one is better at avoiding defenders, I never expected him to be this good, but he is certainly a valuable asset for Ben and this offense...

He ended the Titan's game with 9 catches. Anyone know how many he had the first half? At one point, I thought he might end up with 20. Then Bell took over, and the rest is history.

I actually meant to clarify that. His play was really inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. AB is an absolute difference maker.

Dalton is average. But the games I've watched Green, he struggles to get open against top tier CB. This is what makes you elite. Even if Dalton was a great QB...Green's still not open. For God's sake, Ike Taylor shuts him down!

So what is the real injury risk for punt returners? Give me a statistical number. I think you are over worried. I rarely see a punt returner get injured (can't think of one this year). It is a real risk, or a perceived risk in your mind? Since we struggle in the redzone so much, the possibility of a score on a PR is something this team needs, and with AB, there is always that possibility.

I love AB, but I'd probably put him at #2 behind Calvin Johnson. When looking at the 2014 version of CJ, you have to factor in that he's missed time with injuries and has played hurt, which has hampered his effectiveness. They're very different receivers, and it's tough to do a direct comparison, but I have to give CJ a slight nod due to being an amazingly dangerous red zone weapon when healthy.

Exactly. Durability is huge in this league. ESPECIALLY with us because we have dealt with so many injuries to key players in the past few years.

I'd put him right behind Larry Fitzgerald.

This may have been said before but I wouldn't trade him straight up for any WR in the league.

A few days ago Tomlin said that he's "one of the best in the world". Given that Tomlin is a former WR himself I'd say that's a pretty ringing endorsement.

Oh, maybe 2 or 3 years ago I posted that AB would be the "most dangerous" WR in the league. And for all the reasons you gave. Last year he really got noticed and his stats backed him up. Heck! This year he is even getting better. That is good enough for me.

I would take AJ Green, Dez Bryant, Calvin Johnson, and Demaryius Thomas over AB. Demaryius would be my #1 choice at WR he's a beast, just ask Ike Taylor after what he did to Ike in the 2011 playoff game.

Top 3 WRs IMO...D.T. C.J. A.B.....JMO......Like I told BFT....Top 3 no better. Cases can be made for AJ and DB to get into top 3 JMO...

D Thomas still had a lot of catches in the Super Bowl, no one else on the Broncos offense did anything.

a healthy megatron is more or less the most dangerous offensive weapon in the game today, but brown is a close second
there're more physically gifted wr's in the league, but you won't find one out there that works harder, or has his combination of hands, feet and route running ability..
    I think we'll keep him.

You can't help the team if your always hurt and on sideline. AB's motor is 10 times bigger than all players mentioned. AB in a landslide. Uncoverable.

I love AB but let's not get carried away here. He's definitely one of the best in the league but has a way to go to be compared to the best of all time. Let's revisit in about 5 years.

And one last thing, for all the crap that Colbert and company takes on this board and elsewhere, he deserves a huge attaboy for signing AB for a relative song after the Steelers were spurned by the over-hyped Mike Wallace.
