OK, a quarter of the season is in the books and our most gifted defensive ball player is AWOL.Can someone light a fire under this young man?

Well, he has McClendon (first year starter) in front of him and not Hampton. he has Williams (rookie) next to him and not Foote. And to his far right at outside linebacker he has rookie Jarvis Jones. :hmmm:

5859 is definitely making some great points. But I agree, I wish we were seeing Timmons do a little more. Its time for him to step up and really lead this defense.

Timmons to me is the most puzzling player this year. I new Adams was bad and Gilbert so so, along with McClendon being so so, but Timmons was to be a lot better than he is playing. He is not playing so so, he is actually playing very bad and it is baffling. I don't care who is around him he needs to make more tackles.

it's not up to him to baby sit every other position. he needs to play his own first. as we know, this defense is about everyone being in the right position to make it work right. when he's gets out of position to try and cover for someone else, that just compounds the problem.

    that part is not confusing.

When McCleandon is getting blown back into him, Williams is constantly out of position and missing tackles, Jones not holding the edge it kind of makes it hard to do your job. And oh yeah, isn't he calling the defense as well.

I can't tell if you're being serious. How often would you say McLendon is being blown back into him?

I heard that too until I seen in the Vikings game where it look like Timmons was relaying the calls.

After reviewing some of the tape of the last game, I seen at least twice McClendon was blown back by a double-team. Now, it wasn't necessarily into him because Timmons did his best to get around him.

His contract pays him up to 50 mill,, I don't care who he is playing beside or behind or if he makes the defensive calls or what, play football like we know you can.C'mon will one of these so called superstars rise up and be heard.Maybe I have seriously made a mistake in his ability, he should definatley be a difference maker and he has not been. What are the Steelers paying you all this money for?

Does anybody know how to find out how many tackles Timmons has compared to the rest of the team?

Ben gets paid 100mil and he's not fairing too well either. And that's because he has the worst oline in football, 1st year starter Sanders, rookie running back and had Paulson (7th round pick).

I am tired of people making excuses, for these OVERPAID PLAYERS. I WANT TO SEE RESULTS. As your favorite HC says SPLASH PLAYS, THESE GUYS GET PAID TO MAKE SPLASH PLAYS. LETS START making them. They are suppose to be difference makers, I am not seeing to much difference.

Ok well we have just discovered he has the second most tackles on the team so maybe he isnt playing as bad as we all thought. I mean the team as a whole is bad...

Do you think taking over the signal calling is having an adverse affect on him? Maybe he's overthinking things.

And Clark just got demoted and Timmons has a negative thread started about him which is actually worse than demotion. LOL. Strange days indeed...
