That's black pudding. Also known as blood sausage, or similar to I believe.

    I’ll ask next time

He has a fancy bbq grill and like to do it himself and it’s always good

A brisket a couple of years ago was fantastic

I tried to do a small brisket once and I had brisket jerkey

I'm prepping a 12# turkey for the slow cooker this morning.
It should be done just in time for the victory formation kneel-downs.

My daughter is heading back to college this afternoon now that Thanksgiving break is over, and her favorite place to eat is Bibibop. She asked if we could get that today after church/before the game, so I promised her I'd pick it, up. So Bibibop it is for us.

yea, i don't try brisket too often but it is something i found you have to stay with and monitor quite closely if smoking. i stick mainly with ribs. i make some mean ribs. my son has done some good brisket. he has even started some on his grill and got it charred on the outside pretty well and then put it in his crock pot for several hours to finish and it was quite good. he has an outside air fryer that looks like a small barrel and is propane fired. he did one of the Thanksgiving day turkeys in it. he injects it with a big needle. he did a white wine, garlic and honey this year. man was it good. crispy on the outside and juicy inside. 20 lb. bird in 2 hours. he's done wings in it and several different things. all good. he's got all that outdoor smoking, grilling fancy cooking stuff. :smiley1::cool:

A sage-based and butter rub, whole bird right in the pot. It barely fit. I'll keep an eye on it and probably finish it in the oven to get the skin right.

This morning at the grocery store I picked up a 2 1/2 lb smoked turkey leg. I’m going to heat that up in the oven to get a little bit of caramelization on the skin and gnaw on that for the first quarter.

I still have some family in town. I think my wife is making a bunch of finger foods for the game. Nothing exotic. Chili Nachos, Taquitos, Mini Pizza Bagels, Pizza rolls, Mozzarella Sticks, and Winter Lager I have left over from Thanksgiving.

Fair food. I love walking around at a fair with a big, meaty smoked turkey leg.

I am having real spaghetti tonight. My Italian wife would murder you for ruining such a dish with chili.

If you need to do a big one the Reynolds cooking bags work excellent

That's how my wife and I do our turkey. It keeps it so moist, but still allows it to brown. We stuff the bird with onions, carrots, and celery cut into big chunks with some seasonings. Pull the skin back and put butter mixed with rosemary, sage, and thyme under the skin. Butter the skin and seal it in the bag.

When I lifted up the legs the turkey just about broke in half. Both breasts slid off in one piece. Everything just broke apart. It was the best turkey and most tender and juicy turkey I have ever had.
