Years ago before cell phones a friend invited me to a tailgate party before a game he didn’t tell me exactly where

Only info he gave me was look for a pickup with a Steelers flag near the bridge

Do you make the pasta/ravioli from scratch

Normally I would think what you are making is wonderful but after 17 days of pigging out on Italian food I’m tired of pasta pizza mozzarella salami and prosciutto

Actually. I don't. My Mother does... from a recipe that My Aunt taught Her. LoL. I put the order in, and then when I go to help them I pick it up. LoL. I don't live far from My folks now that they are old . It's one of the reasons I moved so far from everything....so I could be closer to them now.

Homemade fire roasted stuffed peppers. Pork, Turkey and Italian sausage mixed with garlic onions and rice. Home red sauce with peppers, onions, garlic and tomatoes sautéed in a red wine. Topped with Parmesan cheese and chopped roasted jalapeños. Fresh baked crusty bread with a Malbec red wine.

My Bengals neighbors are making a ton of food with ribs being the main course. Think I’ll stop by after the Steelers win and watch the late games. Hopefully they don’t get any tears on the food after they lose to the Titans.

I don’t think I can ever eat frozen or dried pasta again

Once you eat a lot of it made fresh…….

Starting early with my Gumbo-Jambalaya morph - I call it Gumbalaya - chunkier than Gumbo, soupier than Jambalaya. Jasmine rice, jumbo shrimp, Wild Alaska Cod, Andouille sausage, grilled chicken, smoked ham and an array of veggies (sorry no okra on hand). Plus a secret blend of herbs and spices concocted by my Great Great Uncle Zatarain. ;) It'll simmer all today and probably sneak some for dinner tonight and then re-heat for the game tomorrow.

I just drag and drop from my desktop and you get a choice of thumbnail or full size for posting. Has to be a standard format - like jpeg etc. May be a limit on file size as well so I usually resize my photos down to half size - 500kb or so. If it's coming from an outside source (internet) I just copy paste.

With the price of gas out here in La La land ($6.25+/gal) I wasn't going to travel to the market (35 miles round trip) just for Oprah...err Okra. Other than onions and tomatoes, everything else came from my freezer. The Okra and crawfish are a nice touch though.
