had some grouper in sarrasota at walts fish market and restaurant on vacation. then we got red snapper to go for the next day on the grill. had the shrimp on cocoa beach. big thick ribeye one night as well. two key lime pie's were also bought at walts. schnitzel at the german restaurant the last night before we flew out the next day. was a good food week. i envy you going and eating that. do you cook in or go to a restaurant there?

We cook in mostly just because we enjoy it and we take our dogs with us to the beach and we won’t leave them in someone else’s house. There are two seafood restaurants we will go to, one each week, that have an
Outdoor deck area where the dog are welcome.

walts is like that as well. actually deck and bar on 3 sides and the seafood counter inside with seating too. we actually ate in several nights but with that fresh seafood it is well worth it. i had a grouper ruben sandwich on marbled rye with their slaw and swiss cheese on it. one of the best sandwiches i have ever eaten. one had mahi mahi, one had triple tail, one had shrimp, one had red snapper, one had scallops and mussels, and i think one also had grouper. we tasted each others and man was it good. the shrimp looked like lobster tails. MMMmmmm. not cheap but well worth it. all this after we left the emergency room. :lolol:

Looking good my friend. I'm hopping in my truck right now. Should be there around midday Monday if I drive non-stop. I'll bring the baguettes. :drinks:

To each his own, but I found that thought somewhat revolting

    I’m guessing I’m not getting a “like”

I’m going to sidestep that thought

But on similar thought, in the backwoods where I live is a redneck dive bar. Nothing special, except..

..the owners are Cajuns. Once a year they have 500 pounds of crawfish stuck on a plane and they do a nice crawfish boil. Only down side is they use hot dogs rather than andouille.
