What's Cookin? round 2 sgetti and chili yuck edition

I went in for a scheduled heart procedure originally. Now I need two.
I've eaten here before, it's not too bad.

 

Yeah, they stopped doing that here too. When I went in last year, I had a negative Covid home test and a negative test at the hospital. Miraculously, they tested the second swab again 12 hours later and it popped possibly positive. Since the state reimburses hospitals for Covid cases........

I had to look that up b/c I wasn't familiar with the name. My wife is from Romania, and she makes those somewhat regularly, usually with apricot or strawberry. I just realized in over 20 years of marriage, she never said what they were called, which is weird because she makes lots other things and usually tells us the Romanian name for them.

Anyway, I do really like those.

 

Something like that happened to my dad yesterday. About 2 months ago, his heart started beating extremely fast (up to 150) for no apparent reason without coming down. He had to get some medicine to help temporarily, and they scheduled him for a procedure where they went up through his groin to do something that they said would fix it. After being in surgery for 2 hours yesterday morning, after the doctor left, his heart started beating at 120 and wouldn't stop, so when they got the doctor, he said that happens on rare occasions, and if he wanted to stay, they could do a 2nd procedure. So he ended up staying and having that done last evening.

Heart conditions and watching the Steelers are more than likely relatable. Take care everyone and stop stressing out over this team.

 

For breakfast I will have a blueberry muffin. I will run to the muffin, not away from it.
For lunch my wife will make a salad. I will run away from the salad.

 

I went through something like that before and this again is a similar situation. I wish him well.

Success with both procedures. I should be home by kickoff this afternoon. I was worried I'd be spending my bday and Xmas in here. Modern medicine truly is amazing.
