What's Cookin? playoff edition

yes it's early giving you guys and gals plenty of time to get this party started.

i know pizza is on the menu here as it worked last week. i'm sure std will be eating crappie. i think wings should be on the menu as well. nachos too. all heart healthy i'm sure. what are you all planning? anything special since it's the playoffs baby.

 

I have a pile of king crab in the freezer since before new years day but I’ve had the crud

If I feel better by game time that’s it

 

We’re playing Buffalo. I think there’s an obvious choice obviously.

But will chomping on Buffalo wings help or hurt us? LOL.

 

I usually decide my game day meals around the teams that we are playing. Last game was Blue Crab Claws. Philly would be cheese steaks. KC would be barbecue. Cincy should be spaghetti chili but then I’d miss most of the game unless I watched it in the bathroom.

Not sure yet, but I'm thinking a little bit bigger spread than normal. Probably wings along with plenty of finger foods.

Well My Friends....You already know I'm making Crappie, and hope I'll be making it for many more weeks.
On a side note.....I found a awesome way to eat leftover catfish, and hushpuppies. I put them in a pan that I lined with sorghum molasses, cut a whole onion on top, poured more sorghum molasses on top with Louisiana Hot Sauce, and baked it. OMG......It was Delicious.

 

Considering Portland is getting our yearly snowstorm and we'll lose power, I plan on burning down my apartment complex and eating my neighbors!!!

Nice memory! My family has grown older and some moved back near the Burgh but Ben's first 8-9 years we got together every game. The greatest time ever was when my sisters were very kind and got a cake made up half Steelers and half Eagles. We live in Eagle land. We had about 40-50 people there that day. Half us half them. It was the game where our Punter never had to punt. (sure would like to see that Sunday) We beat them from the opening bell. Total domination in the Burgh.

Little unfair to me we have to play them in Philly again next season where we have not won since the 70's. 17 game schedule screwing up the old ways of playing in Philly every 8 years.

I clicked very optimistic to try and cheer my stomach up after reading that I'm very basic when it comes to seafood. Enjoy that dish guy!!!!!! To me there is a reason it has "crap" in it's name

If I was single I'd eat nothing but Jarlsburg Swiss and Artichokes. They are only two foods that keep me away from those damn chips and sweets which are a man with the munchies best friends.
