What's Cookin? Opening session.

Alright i'm getting this started early so you guys and gals can plan your opener against the division rival bengirls.

looking like it's pork and beef roast, carrots, southern style hash browns all together in a pot roast fashion. mrs. dash seasoning of course. (yuck). oh well. good old comfort food though. maybe make up some low sodium gravy for it but it usually makes for a nice juice that the hash browns soak up for some flavor. we shall see without salt. what you got? make it count you may have to make it the rest of the season when we keep winning.

 

Leftovers from a bland diner we went to Friday night.

 

Hot Sausage with garden red peppers, onions and suds.

Burgers, Dogs, and Chicken on the grill. Potato salad, beer, wine and maybe some shots of Jameson if all goes well.

 

Considering it's 10am for me, a sausage and cheese omelet

 

Tacos, with home made veggies from garden.

 

And you mess with my nut, Randy here is gonna eat your dick.

Double up that Jameson with a shot of pickle juice.

My neighbor keeps pushing me to try one, but I haven't yet. I'm not a big fan of pickles in general so I'm not sure I can do it.

 

Jerk Pork. Slow cooking a pork shoulder now with a jerk recipe I got when from a guy I used to work with in Jamaica. I’ve done it several time, but can’t quite duplicate what I ate there. Once told a Jamaican that I truly believed a pig was put on this earth to be jerked. He didn’t disagree

 

My friend married a woman from Laos. His mother-in-law makes these pork sausages with lemongrass, habanero peppers… so I will probably toss a couple of those on the grill

 

Leftover big dirty chicken balti and some fat samosas.

Can't. We are eating leftovers from Thursday today. Never liked eating same thing two days in a row for dinner. And it's nice knowing what you made Mon. and Tues. is already cooked for Wed. and Thur.
