My son and I had a successful hunt yesterday, so venison backstrap it will be.

Went to Maine, had a lobster. Prefer crab, shrimp over it.

 

the thing i hate about crab is it's way too much work for the little bit of meat you get. went to a crab bake in maryland and they had bushel baskets full of crab they would sit by the table at a party. just tons of it. we sat for hours eating it but man what a work out.

 

prep makes a difference. grilled as opposed to boiled. i like shrimp much more. grouper, triple tail, mahimahi, red snapper, cod, canadian whiting. heck crappie, catfish, walleye.

 

That's a respectable grocery list.

 

I have a bag of Gordons. Its a little old. I can tolerate that with a bunch of hot sauce in a taco shell for game meal.

King Crab is the only way to go with crab legs. They cook so quickly and you get a good amount of crab with much less work.

Unfortunately, they are very expensive right now.

Once a year I buy them from Costco for a Christmas time dinner

 

Not really making anything, have soup leftover from a church lunch. Four kinds, potato, chicken noodle, vegetable and chicken matzoh ball. All are excellent.

 

Turkey and cheese on potato bread; and a banana.
