I knew two married people who were in WW2 together and they were served Brussels Sprouts for dinner every day for 3 1/2 years

    My wife likes Brussels Sprouts

Me I think they are like a cross between cabbage and an old pair of tennis shoes

    Yes, it's funny.
There's a part of me that was like uhm...
    WWII and gas? Ouch.
I do like some roasted Brussel sprouts.
Hastings Florida is a place I grab some when I can. They have them on the trunk/ stalk still.
    Yummy.

I love Brussel sprouts. I would guess some pork products(bacon, and ham) are the only thing I don't like, but I will eat them. I wasn't allowed to dislike any food growing up, and I still don't. There are of course things I prefer, but nothing I don't eat.

Rule in my house was, if you don't eat it hot for dinner, you have to have it cold for breakfast. In my case, that was brussel sprouts! I like them now, just not a steady diet of them!

That’s funny because Brussels sprouts are best when served roasted with chopped bacon.

Not IMO...., but like I said there's nothing I don't eat just things I rather not.
My favorite way is roasted garlic, and parmesan

I bought bread from a man in Brussels. He was six-foot-four and full of muscle. I said, "Do you speak my language?" He just smiled and gave me a Vegemite sandwich.

This wasn’t my favorite now I’m searching recipes

The only Spanish restaurant in Pittsburgh was excellent but went out of business during Covid

Many years ago on thanksgiving I went to get a beer at a thatch hut/bar on the island of Saint Vincent

The bouncer at the “door” who was one step up from me was literally as dark as can be six foot four and full of muscles crossed arms and holding a machete I was a tad concerned

He looked down at me gave a great big smile and said “hello white man how are you today please come in”

I had a beer and started to breath again

That's awesome. I probably would have said something stupid like, "hey, wanna arm wrestle?"
