Thanks STD. It has taken up residence in the wall. I don’t have a cat. I want to avoid poison, so it doesn’t eat the poison and then croak in the wall where I can’t get it but I can smell it. Shotgun is not an option, as it would damage the wall as much as the rat. I tried a glue trap and it kicked it aside and avoided it. This thing is smart. I have now baited a very powerful and scary rat trap with peanut butter. Let’s see if it can resist that….
