I had a guy who knew what he was doing take a bunch of us mushroom hunting here in Western PA and then he cooked them a bunch of different ways

It was great but I’m not doing that on my own we only have a few deadly ones but we do have them

My last scheduled Sunday off until December. So of course it's our bye week. :frustrated:

I'll probably hit our local barbecue stand one last time before they close for the season.

So now You will have to watch all our divisional foes, and hope they get defeated. Sometimes that can be fun, and it's less a strain on one's mind as watching the Steelers.

I actually hate mushrooms. These mushrooms we are talking about taste like crap but sure take you to another place;)

In 73-74 it was a huge illegal thing in Hawaii. Had to sneak on farms and they did not like us mainlanders at all. Sad story of an older couple who had no idea they were on private property and they both got shot. After that we stayed far from that farm.

Not very appetizing thinking about digging up mushrooms in dung.

I buy mine in the supermarket. LOL.

Goes good with scramble eggs. Cook them in bacon fat.

Going to have that for brunch tomorrow.

Much like hunting and fishing, some of us don't mind getting our hands dirty for our food. But I don't knock anyone for preferring to stay removed from the messy part of acquiring the food.

That said, I don't mushroom hunt. I wouldn't mind starting up and learning eventually. But right now, I know next to nothing about it and I'd rather not poison myself nor my wife. I can easily spot the more obvious poisonous ones. It's the rest that I can't.

I’m in vacation in Texas, currently in the hotel room in Houston waiting for my wife to go through her 60+ minute ritual of getting ready. It will be Texas BBQ later today.

Saints fans have taken over here. The bar area at the restaurant we ate at last night was loaded with raucous Saints fans, and they were all over the hotel lobby and restaurant this morning. I congratulated them on the dismantling of the Pats last week and threw in my full, unwavering support for them to take down the Texans today.

It’s all good. Electric stove, no gas line anywhere near the area. Little furry fornicating bastard chewed the wires of my dishwasher and ruined it.
He shall die. I am on a quest for vengeance.

A cat would take care of it quickly, and efficiently. All mice , rats, moles, crayfish, and other things are found in the morning on My porch as an offering to Me for thanks from My felines.

I got both Bungles and Browns games on TV here in NE PA. So got something worthwhile and relevant to us.

I`m a bit concerned the 49ers might not show up, even though I think they are the best in the NFL right now. It happens.
