What's Cookin? Black bird stew in a cauldron?

    Pan fried Maryland crab cakes with Tarter sauce, filet medallions medium rare with béarnaise sauce, grilled asparagus with olive oil and garlic powder. For dessert left over Halloween candy Hershey bars with almonds (only 2 Trick O’Treaters).

    I’m generally a pretty good cook. Which is why I look like I do. I actually won my first cooking competition when I was 10.

    But stale pretzels, cold pizza and warm beer have been enjoyed for breakfast in more than one occasion.

    I started with a warm beer. Each one is getting a little colder. Should be good to go by kickoff.

    Pretzels are not getting fresher.

    This didn’t cut it.

    I found a London broil in the freezer. Some onions that weren’t rotted, canned mushrooms, garlic from root cellar. Etc.

    And a brunello from the wine caller.
