The Steelers do not have a 2nd 4th round pick, only the compensatory at the end of the round, also have no 5th round pick.

Still have the elephant in the room, the mystery man Stephon Tuitt. Definiteiy D Line should be in play as well as a receiver or strong safety.

But outside the top 3, the number 4 RB is as likely to be good as the number 16 CB. Sauce, Stingley and McDuffie are the 3 safe guys.

i have to disagree about tuitt. sure he'd be nice to have back at his two or three years ago self but...... . i believe we are OK with wormley and loudermilk. both hopefully build on pretty decent seasons for us a year ago. davis is also healthy i hope this year. with the two old guy's still able to play very well we should be very solid up front even without tuitt. he would be the cherry on top if he can get back to form.

Mac I was stating that we don't know what Tuitt is going to do yet hence the Mystery Man reference. With the loss of Alualu and him the D Line suffered especially in run defense. But there was no excuse for the lackluster play of both ILBers or a weak SS.

If he doesn't come back they need to draft D Line. I believe this will be Alualu's last ride.

Wormley and Loudermilk did improve. I like that they resigned Montravius Adams.

If Davis from Georgia is there at 20 you have to take him. Plug and play.

if we can get a good ball hawking strong safety we could be alright on the backend. if and i mean if we have sealed up the ILB spot with jack and avery and bush gets even close to what we thought of him when we drafted him, our strong safety and free safety won't have that added pressure on them of run first duties. year two of loudermilk and wormley with more reps as a starter along with alualu back will help the run stopping too. i don't think we need to put all the burden on a top corner in this defense. a slot type corner would help but he doesn't have to be pick 20. there are some solid guys in this draft.

    marcus jones - already visiting
    cam taylor-britt
    alontae taylor
    coby bryant

watch these names. they are solid players that could fill that 4th corner player for us. add a safety that can play the pass to this group and we will see some solid play back there. i like where this defense is with just a couple of solid additions in this draft. we have somewhat upgraded the coaching so far as well.

he is good but i'm not sure he's the second coming of aaron donald either. with adams added and carlos davis back with alualu, we are quite full at this area of the team, especially in the first round. ILB was a lot of the problem with this run defense. the scheme as well. we wanted our d-linemen to rush the passer 1st instead of stopping the run same as the ILB'ers. one deficiency hurts another part of the defense and it snowballs. we will see what this new coaching does to this defense. i think we see a far different defense this year without using that top pick on a d-lineman or CB.

That trade would have been from Pro Football Networks mock draft. Oliver Hodgskinson I believe was the authors name. Not 100% certain that Colbert would go to such lengths but again, it takes two to tango in a trade.

Alontae Taylor, Coby Bryant and Kyler Gordon are overshadowed Corners who are probably as good as their more popular teammates.

I'd be estatic with any of those 3. Jones is decent too.

Yeah, but I bet the Giants will take that trade all day if we offered it. It's too good nor to accept. Especially when they know we are grabbing a QB.

Peter Schraeger on the NFL Network made a very interesting mock draft this morning. He said that his mock was based entirely on his conversations with teams around the league and who they were interested in. At pick #20 he had the Steelers selecting Malik Willis.

    I don't know what this means. 4.74?

Hamilton reportedly looked drastically slower in person than on film. His 40-time was reportedly clocked in a 4.74, 0.3 seconds slower than that of Purdue defensive end George Karlaftis. Some clocked him in at 4.56. Others had him at 4.59, the same time from the NFL Combine.

Right now I am seeing Hamilton fall out of the top ten on many mock drafts.

IF he falls out of the top 10 should the Steelers go up and get him?

I’m hoping for DT Jordan Davis or OT Trevor Penning at 20.

The NFL Networks mock this morning had Davis going to the Saints at pick #19. I just hope the Browns or Ravens don't take him. Facing him twice a year would be awful.

I think they will go QB, Ridder in the first, and safety, CB in the second, followed by a WR or OL in the 3rd

I am on record of liking booth with our 20th pick. You remember the old saying you can never have enough cornerbacks? LOL
Especially if you want to compete in the talent laden QB's/ Receivers in the AFC.

Davis. The Steelers had the worst run defense in the league last season. Davis would fix that.

Is he a three down linemen? Can he keep his weight under control? Big questions need
answered before draft. I too would like to strengthen our DL. Cam and Alula might not have many years left.
