Heath Miller and LeVeon Bell were healthy to begin the season I don't think the Steelers would've started the season 0-4. They didn't a legitimate starter at either position Paulson at TE he's weak and Redman at RB a scrub who fumbled near the goal line vs the Titans.

To an extent. What Bell and Miller provided, as well as production, was a bit of fresh energy (with Bell) and reassurance (with Miller). That was huge. But what they didn't provide was the offensive identity, and the solidity and confidence and o-line play which made such a difference in the back end of the season.

I'm certainly looking forward to what Bell can do next season, though.

Even if Bell started our O/L wasn't performing well enough to support wouldn't have matter who was @ RB they would have struggled. Miller really didn't bring his game till his 3rd start so don't think the 0-4 results would have changed if any IMO.

One could argue the oline struggled because there was no Miller and no threat of a run so defenses could pin their ears back and go.

I'm not sure what to think about what would have happened had they been there in week 1. This season was just a combination of things out of the teams control that when they add up means we were mediocre. You could ask the same question....what if we didn't lose Pouncey? What if KC's kicker actually makes that kick? What if Brown doesn't stop out of bounds? What if Sanders catches the 2 point conversion or if Bell's helmet knocked off run counted as a TD and the TD WAS the 2 point conversion? What is Suisham doesn't miss a couple of kicks?

I think my point is these are things that this team NEEDS to control better next year. We cannot do that again. Everyone MUST do their part....coaches and Front Office included.

They'd be in the playoffs. Hard to imagine they wouldn't have won 1 game with those guys, Heath made an immediate impact with just his blocking.

As right as you are it is sad, sad that a team missing one TE and a rookie RB can't make the playoffs because of it.

A solid draft this year could very well put us back where we belong.

I think they are close, I think they have more talent then they get credit for.
