What if Dwyer goes off for 150 yds and a couple TD's?
Will he remain the starter moving forward? Keep in mind this isn't a "what Coach T should do" thread. I want to know what you think he will do.
So, hypothetically will Mendenhall get his job back regardless of Dwyer's performance.

I would think Mendey gets the start if healthy, but if he's not producing Dwyer is in quick.
I think if Dwyer continues to do well we are going to have an interesting decision with Mendy for next year.

If he does that you would have to keep him as the starter he would be the first steeler since FWP to go for 100 yards in back to back games. I think tomlin would stick with the hot hand

I would be really surprised if Mendy didn't get his starting job back but I would like to stick with Dwyer if he's playing good.

Mendy will get his job back, but that doesn't mean if Dwyer gets 150 that he hasn't earned his share of carries. Maybe 50-50 with Mendy should he continue to perform.

I think Tomlin will go back to Mendenhall when he's ready, regardless of what Dwyer does. At least... this year. If Dwyer really goes nuts, that's a great bargaining chip to have against Mendy, and/or a comfortable replacement for next year.

But right now, you have to still have Mendenhall first on the depth chart. Dwyer looked great with great blocking. Before that, Mendenhall was the only guy on the roster who could gain anything.

I think that would be more of a Ta'Amu thing anyway.

LOLOLOLOL! I JUST realized that I put this reply on the wrong post! Someone else put something like "if he hit Tomlin with his car he might lose the job" and so I said that "Ta'Amu would do that". So that joke DOES make sense right?

I'm not sure where I read that. Now that I think about it I might've even dreamed that I read that. I didn't get hardly ANY sleep last night because my little boy has discovered how to climb out of his crib and I'm afraid he's gonna get hurt and so I was up late last night trying to make sure he didn't do it again. Then I had to help my wife's uncle put a new AC unit on at our house. I was pretty sleepy but I wanted to see what was going on here and started dozing on and off and now that I think about it I could've actually just read that wrong or just been half asleep. That's hilarious though regardless! I bet when Snack reads it he will he like "uh....what???"

i'd think that if dwyer is carrying the load, MT will give mendy a litte extra time to heal more and get stronger. i'd like to see them all healthy by the time decastro gets back and make that stretch run. mendy is the lead dog though.

I actually found where I got the idea that Snack said Dwyer hit Tomlin with a car. It was in the Injury Report thread. How I wound up replying to THAT post in THIS thread is WAY beyond me! LOL.
