This was probably one of the worst referee teams I've seen!! It was just unreal!..

That pick play call was BS. New England cheaters do that every game and don't get called for it.

I normally realize my black and gold glasses tint my views but that was outrageous. the pick call was the epotome of the "fix"

Par for the course this season. They have been lousy all over the league.

Yeah did you just see that blatant no call in the Colts game. The cb LITERALLY grabbed Vernon Davis' arm RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE REF and he didn't call it. Unreal. They also missed a hold in the end zone against Wheaton today as well. They also missed a hold in the AZ game in the endzone that would have went against us. They've just been horrific this year. Not even counting the missed spots and things like that.

Awful roughing the passer penalty in the Vikings game today as well.

Yeah we had one go against us too. If they see a dude around a qb's knee, who is not named Ben, they are gonna flag it every time.

I thought they were bad today on some of the calls. The pass interfere on us but not against us. Not to mention just watched Von Miller dive and hit Luck's shin no flag, but we get one.

This. Idk why the NFL ever gave into the ref strike a few years back. Yeah, the blown call on MNF was bad (GB/Sea), but how many Mondays in a row have the regular refs butchered this year?

The regulars aren't any better than the scrub replacements. They suck every week. In every city. All year long.

There were some questionable calls in the second half.

I'm sure the league called at half time and asked, "how can there possibly be a Raiders/Steelers game with no penalties in a half?"

Fans on the Raiders Facebook page are blaming the refs. Really?!

The lack of holding calls against there offensive line was criminal. Apparently the Raiders never hold. That said in the 4th on the hit to Carr's knees I saw Moats get shoves to the ground when he beat the Raiders lineman and no call, WTF. That at the very least should have been offsetting penalties and not a 15 yard pickup for them.

I usually don't complain about the refs but that was the worst called game against us that I can remember

They also dress up like Darth Vader and probably assault people's mothers. Nothing ever surprises me with them.

There is no consistancy. Ben gets hit into his knee when he got injured and no penalty. Today Shazier tackles Carr low (very softly) and gets a rougher the passer penalty. Go figure.

The pick play that was called on Wheaton was horrible. It was actually a worse pick on Browns long run at the end, yet it wasn't called.

Also Harrison was being held quite often and I don't think the called any holds on them.

I'm starting to think that they've secretly replaced the refs with the stand-in refs from a couple of years ago. Man, those guys were bad, and the refs this year aren't too far off from that.

I think sometimes we as fans don't have a great understanding of what the rules actually are. I think most times they get the call right per the rule, it's just the rule itself is stupid.
The refs today did seem extra dumb though!

I don't know Glen I'd have to see the pick play again but I thought it was in the 5 yard chuck zone. So the defender can mug a guy in there but the receiver cant run into him and then shove as well? Seems fishy to me.

Problem I had with the pick play was how late the flag was thrown. From where I was sitting (endzone view), Brown was well on his way up-field when the ref pulled the trigger on the flag.

It was badly officiated, games like that make me see why some fans believe games are rigged. Not saying they are but yesterday was bad.

I disagree about the replacement refs though, every game for them was like yesterday.

That didnt look low to me, it wasnt below the knees as the rule states, carr wasnt limping until he saw the flag and then he started limping doing an acting performance, funny thing though once the penalty was called he quit limping....

I thought the Shazier hit was questionable, but it's a judgement call.
I'm more curious about the ruling on the AB catch where he ran backwards. I can't say I've ever heard that if you run backwards without being touched they don't count forward progress. I know that's how it works in the return game, but I can't remember that ever being called in a game situation like this was.

Nope, that's the rule. AB needs to get that first down. Just a brain cramp on his part.

The only way this is different is if the ref rolled the clock. That would dictate that the runner's progress was stopped in the field of play and the play is treated as if the runner is down in the field of play at that exact point. If that happened then the ref would have to count the forward progress. Happened right in front of me, but couldn't remember if the clock was stopped.
