He loves his puppets. But in reality Canada should have never been hired.

So your 1st round QB pick is being held back. Not good for the long term.

To take this teams offense in a better direction they need to hire(Khan, Weidl and Art II) an innovative mind who brings in his own staff ( NOT Leftwich!)

Although if this team makes the playoffs I can see unfortunately a 2 year extension for the grand wazoo Canada. The Tomlin extension is evident

If the QB is being held back, it’s because there’s a lack of confidence in the QB. No coach would ever tell a QB to ignore open receivers in the middle of the field unless he lacked confidence in the QB to make the right decisions or deliver the ball accurately and out of harm’s way. If Tomlin was confident in KP’s ability, there wouldn’t be handcuffs. It’s the only logical explanation. Tomlin isn’t stupid despite what many fans want to believe.

If he is handcuffed, either the Steelers are stupid for drafting a QB in the first round for only being a game manager or Tomlin has lost confidence in Pickett and the Steelers are going to have to make a change at this position in the offseason

Alex Smith said something last offseason that the majority of defensive head coaches are not good with young QBs and I think he's right....There are exceptions like Ryan in Houston or others but overall it's better to have an offensive head coach if you have a young QB

    6-3

Where did you expect this team to be after 9 games?

Tomlin is doing what he believes will win games.

    6-3

Turnovers lose games. Sacks stall drives. He doesn’t have the chemistry with this offense yet to make up for negative plays. Weighty downs aren’t always successful. So, he plays conservatively. Given time, he will expand on what he expects Kenny to do. Several wins this season were sealed with an interception. He doesn’t want to be on the other side of that.

It’s also not all KP, receivers drop passes, popcorn penalties happen, pressure happens.

    And yet, 6-3

6-3 can turn QUICKLY to 6-5

    then the pollyanish posts stop....

we are part of the miserable middle of the league.

Tomlin, in PART, is why. Rooney, in BIG PART - is why.

We have seen this movie, the Mike Tomlin show. Even w GREAT TALENT, we fell short, for FAR TOO long.

I don't recall anytime last year where Kenny threw 4 ints in the middle of the field and they needed to start cutting the playbook in half?

Does Tomlin just have trust issues?

Unless Kenny is just blowing it on film breakdown and prep in the lead up to the games I don't know why this is the offense we have?

I still wonder if they are doing this because they know there was some serious protection issues this year, particularly the interior of the line.

It can also quickly turn to 8-3. But the bitching and complaining will keep going on.....

What insider information do you have that proves the sort of leadership style you are assigning to Tomlin? Don't read the question as a Tomlin defense. Don't read it as a Canada attack. Just take it at face value. What evidence can you show us?

The Steelers had a 11-0 start 3 years ago...We know that in the long run, that's not the way to win big and we need to know what Pickett is capable of

We are tired of seasons of 9 wins and win nothing in the playoffs because of our awful offense

We have seen how Pickett does when he has to throw a lot, they aren't built to win that way.

    This....
Also did people forget How T. Brady was handled His 1st three seasons. Each year He was given more. No!!!!!.....I'm not saying KFP is T. Brady....I'm saying He is being handled like He was. People forget....Brady was only being asked to not mess up, make a play here ,and there, and they won mainly by D, Special teams, and letting the other teams make the mistakes, and beat themselves.

well we saw it go on with butler too. all former head coaches that were on staff are gone. nobody from the MT coaching tree has gone on to any other coaching job in the NFL. many on here have blamed everything on canada. we ended up hearing last year as canada was being vilified for not having hot routes that it was MT that made that decision too. what i have seen go on with the team from my own eyes as well. we change coaches mostly from within and nothing changes. we have won very little with any of MT's own players. very little from the coaching hires. we saw dick lebeau leave or be ousted only to build one of the best secondaries in the league the next few years. we saw his then OC go on to build a couple of teams into winners. can you show any evidence that this is not the case?

Brady also threw for 145 yards and 1 touchdown in Super Bowl XXXVI and was named MVP.

You don't have to light it up to be a quarterback that is a major force in your team's winning.

Kind of feel bad for Tomlin. I can close my eyes and hide behind couch when it's 3rd down for us. He is forced to watch.

That doesn't take away from the fact that Canada's O is still extremely predictable and basic compared to other teams. It plays into it, but it's not the only thing.
