I agree with you, mac. It's going to come down to QB play. I have little confidence in Rudolph or Thompson and Howard won't (shouldn't) see the field this season. Rodgers would give the best chance of having an offense that at least doesn't lose every game for us. OL should hopefully be improved over last season,

yea not many are giving mason much of a shot, and i get that. i just think these two (mason and howard) are guys capable of listening and learning to and from arth and carrying it to the field. i'm not sure we have had that until now. i don't think he is going to turn them into superstars, but QB's capable of making this a solid offense we can win with.

Yup, I like Howard but the Steelers waited till the 6th to pick him. If they thought he had a very good shot at being the guy they wouldnt have.

Im still gonna be an eternal optimist with him. His game and build just looks like it should translate to the pros.

    Welcome.

Better prospect than KP, five rounds later, if he isn't the long-term answer, he's likely to at least be a capble back up and he was basically free, the opportunity cost with taking him was very low. He can sit and learn for a year or two, I didn't want Rodgers but will happily take him now, given that our QB powder is still dry for '26. That may not have been the case had we spent a 1st or 2nd on someone else.

I liked the draft, Harmon and DK are a very good 1st and 2nd round, considering where we picked. The players in later rounds look promising.

That offensive line investment needs to start paying off big time next season.

I think Howard will be backup material. Sure he could start for us, but when compared to the rest of the league he's going to be in the late 20's ranking.

What any quarterback has going for them is the Steelers having meta and Pickens.

Pickett's good year got him to New York as a Heisman Trophy finalist.

    Sad but true here.

I like the value the team got for Will Howard. In addition, I am a big believer in him. This Coaching Staff?! Nope.

Howard 6th round, Brady 6th round, coincidence, I think not. Looking forward to those 7 rings;)

Track record for developing QBs under Tomlin hasn't been great.

But you got to let them throw to the middle of the field.

The Tomlin IMO is commit no turnovers and force turnovers. That is his IMO to win.

He won't get much of a chance this year if Rodgers signs with the team.

    My point exactly.

Tomlin needs to get out of his own way. For that matter, it is the only way for Arthur Smiths Offense to work. Given how often Play Action uses the MOF, relying on Moon shots repeatedly is a recipe for disaster.
