    Kind of torn on this.

    I generally don't like mid-round QBs.

    But when you don't have a QB, you need to find one.

    Hopefully this works out. But most QBs fail (especially when taken this late)

    I don't think McCarthy would pick a QB in the third round if he thought Howard was the man. Career backup.

    I’ll say this. If you build MM’s idea of a QB in a lab, he looks a great deal like Allar.

    Unfortunately Allar still looks like he just started playing QB yesterday at times.

    This Kid sucked in every big stage game. Howard is 10 times better than him. Wasted 3rd round pick just like Johnson last year.

    I just don’t see this one. This guy is a complete mess, and I don’t necessarily agree that big arm = big potential. I hope this works out, but I think turning this kid into a viable NFL QB is a massive stretch.

    this also likely means they really trust Howard at least enough to be a backup in 2026. Mason doesn’t seem long for this team.
