If they are gonna play it... I think it would have to happen by (Wednesday) tomorrow night.
Then maybe they push back the Bills vs Patriots and Bengals vs Ravens week 18 to Monday Night Contests.

Then make any of those teams Wild Card contests Sunday games and not Saturday games.

I'm not sure if their is a forfeit option on the table for Buffalo or not???

I feel for the Bills this year. Between the movement of their home game due to weather, plus getting stuck in Chicago an extra night to get home due to another snow storm.. and now this..... been pretty unreal for them

Yea there is gonna be no easy decision to be made here. Somebody will be mad. But at the end of the day there needs to be some sort of decision made soon on what’s gonna happen moving forward with these games this weekend. I’m not sure pushing games back a week is the right answer for that. That is a lot easier said then done. But these games and the playoffs will go on that’s just the reality and tough decisions need to be made and made sooner rather then later.

Truth! Goodell and his henchmen took way to long to cancel the game.

So who was affected by how long it took them to call the game? Find all accounts, the coaches and players had already determined that they were playing.

    Say it together: M O N E Y always wins.*

    * that all changes next year when the 30 million dollar Pirates blow away the 200 million dollar teams. Just goofing around.

That’s probably the best decision they could make for now. There was just no way they could push all the games back this week to another week there is just too many other variables and intangibles involved in doing so. My guess is they will wait and see how this weeks games play out and make a decision what to do as far as making this game up next week. It’s gonna cause a mess for homefield and the 1 seed if they don’t play that Bengals Bills game again next week but I guess if that’s the worst thing that comes out of this and Hamlin is okay then so be it you deal with it and move on.

i know it's an impossible situation and no right answers, but there's a real chance the bills don't play this weekend either and the patriots would automatically clinch a playoff spot, whether by a bills forfeit or just by overall season win % from the game not happening.

I dont see the Bills not playing this weekend. To many moving parts and to many teams would be effected.

There not gonna do that. They already have huge playoffs implications by possibly not playing the Bengals Bills game since that would impact the Bills,Bengals and Chiefs and the number 1 overall seed and by having the Bills forfeit that game to the pats you would be making it 100 times worse now because you now would also be impacting the Steelers and Dolphins playoff chances and then you have a real mess on your hands.

Once this is all settles down in a few weeks and let’s hope to god Damar Hamlin is okay at that point if they don’t make up this Bills Bengals game and they call it a tie and the Chiefs end up getting homefield in the AFC Championship game because of it and play the Bills you are gonna have a lot of pissed off people and Bills fans and people in that organization. So people can say it doesn’t matter right now under the current circumstances with last night being so fresh in peoples minds but I can guarantee you in a few weeks when a lot of this is behind us if they don’t make up that game and it costs the Bills homefield in the AFC Title game I can guarantee you it will matter a whole helluva a lot to people in Buffalo and in the Bills organization and it will not be pretty.

How would they make up the game in a few weeks? Playoffs start in a week and a half?

I don’t know that’s a good question and that’s why Roger Goddell makes 70 million dollars a year he can figure that out or figure out a way to make the Bills the top seed if they win against the Patriots and not penalize them for not playing the game with the Bengals. There really are no good ideas or solutions here but I don’t think ending the game in a tie is one of them.

Different circumstances but in the COVID season, there were 3 games cancelled on Week 15 of a 16 week season. All games that season ended up being made up. They can find a way if they want to.

It may have been different that year, because they didn't have to fill the stadium with fans.

Truth. Still, logistically they can still make it happen. They could honor the tickets purchased for the previous game. Plus, a game with no fans would still be better than none at all.

Right now, the NFL website is showing the Chiefs taking over the #1 seed in the AFC.

Just from everything I've watched on ESPN today, I don't think that the Bills-Bengals game will be made up. Meaning that if KC wins on Saturday they will lock up the #1 seed. The Bengals have won the AFC North no matter if they lose to the Ravens or not on Sunday. The only incentive the Bills will have to win against the Patriots is to lock up the #2 seed. That's somewhat important because the #2 seed will play whatever team staggers into the #7 seed whether that is the Steelers, Pats or Dolphins. The #3 seed will have to play the Ravens with Lamar probably back. The Bengals still have a shot at the #2 seed if they beat the Ravens on Sunday and the Bills lose. If the Bengals lose then that means they will have to play the Ravens in back to back weeks.

I would hate to see the Bills get punished for this. I would rather see both the Bills and Bengals get a Win. That way the Bills would be right back to where they were before WK 17 started; Needing to Win their last games to secure the #1 seed.

It would be crazy, and almost unforgiveable if the NFL Commissioner would make the Bills forfeit their #1 seed because of this accident.

Chiefs are #1 because of the incomplete MNF game. If Bills had won last night, they would have regained #1 due to the head-to-head tiebreaker. Bills beat the Chiefs in week 6
