I'm not saying get rid of Heath, although that time is coming in the not too distant future, but we need a move TE that can stretch the field. The game has changed and almost every team out there has a speedy pass catching TE, every team but us. We can't continue to ignore this fact, it's part of the reason we're not better offensively.

I know we have other needs, but this is a huge need too. I hope someone in our franchise realizes this and has plans to address this in the off-season. Rookie TE's don't usually produce, so even if we drafted someone this coming off-season, it's still going to be a few years before he produces

When Heath had his injury we needed at least two. But we bring Matt Spaeth and draft two 7 round te's and bring Palmer from free agency.

But I think they don't draft passing catching TEs because our tackles are average at best.

Yep. Isnt that sad? We really don't know what Heath can do because he always has to help the OL.

    This.

There's nothing wrong with Miller. He just has to help the O-Line all the time. All. The. Time.

    Agreed.

My argument is that procuring another great TE may not have the effect shaner is looking for. That TE will most likely end up helping the O-Line just as much as Miller is, now. And if that TE is mainly a receiving TE, and he is not efficient at blocking, then that spells disaster for the back field.

we have a guy that could stretch the field like a TE in will Johnson if we would use him as such. the guy was a former WR. he's 6-2 has some speed and good hands and knows how to be a receiver. I think we have missed the boat in using such a weapon.

Has this staff drafted anybody we need until we REALLY need them? And then spend 2 yrs 'teaching them the system".
